Safety continues to be one of the biggest challenges for organizations with fleets today, and it’s only getting tougher to manage. CCJ — Commercial Carrier Journal covered new insights from the 2026 Motive ROI Report, showing how disconnected tools and limited visibility are creating real safety gaps. But the data also shows what changes when teams have accurate AI and connected workflows, with top respondents sharing that since adopting Motive: → 92% reported fewer accidents → 83% saw a steep decline in accident-related costs Behind those numbers are real customer stories, like Agmark Logistics catching distracted driving on day one and Estes Forwarding Worldwide reducing accidents by 89% as a result of using the Motive AI Dashcam. In-cab audio alerts are now live for AI-powered Smoking Detection. Drivers will now hear a real-time alert in the cab if smoking is detected — building on the AI-powered Smoking Detection feature we launched earlier this year. This upgrade makes it easier to support proactive coaching, reinforce no-smoking policies, and encourage safer driving behaviors right when it counts.

A recent SFMTA incident spotlights a critical challenge across public transit: operator fatigue can quickly turn routine trips into high-risk scenarios. At Motive, we believe AI should raise the safety bar for drivers, passengers, and communities everywhere. On KRON-TV, Nihar Gupta, VP of Product Management at Motive, shared how Motive's AI Dashcam detects and helps prevent fatigue-related incidents before they happen. The Motive AI Dashcam can detect early signs like yawning, stretching, or lane swerving, providing real-time alerts that enable timely intervention. https://lnkd.in/eZEU8Xps
