Every corner of the Veterans Affairs Fredericksburg Healthcare Clinic was designed with one goal in mind: to support the well-being of veterans. From restorative gardens and daylight-filled interiors to intuitive wayfinding and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, the space was created to feel as caring as the care it provides. That human-centered approach was recently recognized nationally by International Interior Design Association (IIDA) with a 2025 Healthcare Design Award in the Ambulatory (Specialty Clinic) category. With 13 years of experience in interior design, project management, visioning, and space planning, Sydney brings deep expertise and a track record of delivering innovative workplace solutions. She is known for mentoring emerging talent and building high-performing, collaborative teams. “Sydney has an incredible blend of talent, drive, and genuine passion,” says Eddie Portis, Workplace Practice Leader. “She excels with clients, brings ideas to life from concept to completion, and inspires everyone around her. We’re delighted to announce that Sean Murphy has been named President of our Durham office, effective January 1, 2026.
