Five million acres. That’s how much ground farmers covered with John Deere See & Spray this past season across the U.S. and Canada — a land area larger than the state of New Jersey. To me, See & Spray truly embodies how technology can transform farming for the better. By harnessing AI and advanced cameras, it distinguishes crops from weeds, spraying only where it’s needed. That innovation saved nearly 31 million gallons of spray mix this year and cut herbicide use by almost 50%. The result is less waste, healthier crops, and increased confidence in every pass. But the impact goes beyond cost savings. I see the real impact as giving farmers more control, more efficiency, and healthier fields. In trials across seven states, farmers saw stronger crop performance. Since launching in 2021, See & Spray has grown through collaboration with farmers who challenge us to keep improving. Their success is what drives us: building tools that help farmers be more productive, more profitable, and more sustainable.

“Deere isn’t just an ag company—it is a tech leader shaping the future." - Sarah Wurden Sarah is a software engineer out of our Austin, Texas office working on the Field Analyzer application within Operations Center™. Her job? - Transforming complex field and operational data into meaningful insights - Empowering customers to optimize productivity and improve future outcomes “We help customers visualize the vast amounts of data that their machines collect. This allows them to see what worked, what did not, and make smarter decisions for the years to come.” Sarah’s favorite part? The hands-on learning. “You can take an afternoon and become certified to drive tractors at the test farm. I even took a course where we performed operations out in the field, then analyzed the results in Operations Center™, just as a customer would." She continued, "There is a great emphasis on understanding the products we are working on, so we can make the right decisions for the end user during development. You don’t need an ag background to thrive here—just curiosity and a love for learning.”

“The single greatest thing that Congress can do to support the American corn farmer today is to pass year-round nationwide E15. It’s that simple.” – Neil Caskey, CEO of the National Corn Growers Association Right now, outdated regulations limit the sale of E15 – a fuel blend with 15% ethanol – during the summer months. Removing this barrier would help to unlock major benefits: expanding E15 use as a consistent, lower-cost fuel option while driving greater demand for a U.S.-grown crop that supports farmers and rural economies. Corn is grown on more than 90 million acres annually across the U.S., providing a reliable supply for domestic biofuels. Yet since 2010, the amount of corn used in ethanol has flattened. Passing legislation allowing access to year-round E15 could increase corn use in ethanol by up to 50% at full implementation, supporting energy stability and economic opportunity across America’s heartland. This year’s corn harvest, projected to be the largest in U.S. history, is a testament to farmers’ productivity and resilience. But without clear pathways for every kernel, the full potential of this crop can’t be realized. Advancements in technology and agricultural practices continue to improve the efficiency and sustainability of renewable fuel production. Ethanol isn’t just a solution for farmers. It’s a high-performance renewable fuel that can help lower costs at the pump for consumers, reduce emissions, and strengthen U.S. energy independence. John Deere is proud to work alongside organizations such as the National Corn Growers Association, farmers, and advocates to advance policies on this important priority. Gary Sierens didn’t just grow up on a farm, he grew up working one. From hauling hay to raising pigs in Annawan, Illinois, agriculture has always been part of his story. FFA played a big role too. Gary joined as a freshman, earned his state degree, met his wife during FFA Week, and now watches his kids carry the torch. His daughter Paige is Illinois’ first-ever State Sentinel, and his son Bennett is active in their local chapter. These days, Gary’s still farming alongside his dad on the same land his grandfather once worked. He also supports our customers across the Midwest as a division customer support manager. His approach? To lead with empathy, bring real solutions, and build trust—values he picked up early through FFA. We've been supporting the National FFA Organization for 82 years. And through a current $3.9M investment, we’re helping grow the next generation of leaders, just like Gary, Paige and Bennett. Full story: http://spr.ly/60457DOYd

Fighting hunger takes all of us. When John Deere employees came together recently for Hunger Action Month, the impact spanned continents and communities—in record-breaking numbers, even! And what better timing? As farmers across the U.S. harvest their crops, our teams honored their work by getting food to tables in each of John Deere’s hometown communities. I want to sincerely thank every employee and non-profit partner who made this effort so successful. I’m blown away by the results!

There’s a phrase that guides our collections team: When times get tough, we don’t walk away. We lean in. “It means that when a customer is struggling, we don’t rush to repossess equipment. We listen. We work with them,” explained John Grosso, our senior vice president and chief marketing officer for the U.S. and Canada. Over the past two years, we’ve helped restructure thousands of accounts. But this philosophy isn’t new. - During the Great Depression, we extended repayment terms and absorbed over $12 million in farmer notes - In the 1980s farm crisis, we restructured debt instead of foreclosing - During COVID-19, we processed 200 times our normal account change volume in just six months Our goal? To help: • A farmer keep their land • A rancher keep their herd • A contractor keep their job site running
