Yesterday, I stood in a room full of leaders and realized something important. I received the Congressional Award for Visionary Leadership and Entrepreneurship at the Friends of Puerto Rico Capitol Hill Summit in Washington, D.C., presented by Congressman Ritchie Torres's office and Representative Eddie Charbonier. But here's what struck me most. The room was filled with people from across the political spectrum —business leaders, educators, politicians, and community advocates— all focused on one shared goal: #PuertoRico's future. I shared in my acceptance speech that visionary leadership and entrepreneurship aren't just about business; they're about creating opportunities where none existed, building trust where systems failed, and ensuring resources actually reach the communities that need them. When I think about what “visionary leadership and entrepreneurship” truly mean, I think about courage — the courage to imagine a better future and the determination to build it, even when the path isn’t clear. I don't do this work for recognition. I do it because I've seen the gap. The gap between resources that exist and communities that need them. #FederalFunds sitting unused because people don't know they qualify. Programs going underutilized because the application process feels impossible to navigate. My work at On Point Strategy isn't political; it's personal. It's about transparency, accountability, and making sure every dollar reaches its destination. This award reminds me that when you lead with integrity and purpose, people notice. Not because you're seeking attention, but because the impact speaks for itself. What drives YOUR work beyond the title or the paycheck? What impact do you want to leave behind?
