Customers and vendors from all areas attended for tours, prizes, and great food. During his 15 years with Hercules, Don’s leadership and drive helped quadruple our steel sales, leaving an incredible mark on our company’s growth and success. Beyond the numbers, Don’s integrity, warmth, and genuine care for others have made him a trusted friend to many. Having him on our team was incredibly valuable, and we are forever grateful. This past week Shikhar Tripathi and I met the wonderful folks from Hercules Industries - Wayne Best and Bipesh Tuladhar in Denver, CO. The company was founded in 1962 and is a leading HVAC and sheet metal manufacturer-distributor across the Western and Midwestern U.S. They differentiate themselves via integrated operations—own steel sourcing, fabrication, distribution centers and a growing line of sealants/adhesives. Wayne and Bipesh were extremely clear on what they wanted out of the estimation process and what all they can improve. It was amazing to see the clarity in their thought process. What I found very interesting was that in 2019, the company converted to an employee-owned (ESOP) structure, aiming to preserve their founding culture while scaling. It is amazing to see this in a company that belongs to the so called "traditional" industries adopting the strategy that modern tech companies adopt. Maybe that is why I could feel a very high sense of ownership while speaking to their team. Excited for this partnership, Team Hercules, Wayne & Bipesh!
