The Salt Lake City team has been fighting the elements to get rolling on the Rocky Mountain Power Essential Services Building with our partner, Mortenson. Pursuit of the RMP-ESB was unique in the sense that Salt Lake City and Harris Design Studio provided months of value-add solution support prior to award of the project. Now that we are out of the mud, the underground work has begun. The RMP ESB is a complex building, as it was designed to be “the last building standing” in SLC. It will be built on a shaker table with base isolators and wave guides at all penetrations meant to protect equipment from earthquakes and even an electromagnetic pulse! #Construction #Utah
