The Office remains one of the most-watched shows ever, hitting 57.1 billion minutes viewed in the U.S. in a single year. In a famous episode, Michael Scott plays “Prison Mike,” a fictional alter ego he creates to “scare” his employees with fake, exaggerated prison stories. The “Prison Mike” page on Fandom, the world's # 1 fan platform for gaming and entertainment, was being misclassified as high risk for the use of “prison,” despite its satirical context. Mobian correctly identified it as low risk by understanding the meaning and tone. As Fandom’s Jeremy Steinberg said at the Brand Safety Summit Series in NY with Jonah Goodhart (Mobian): “Brands miss out on cultural experiences because they don’t have the context.” Mobian’s model accounts for nuance, helping brands safely show up in the moments that define culture.
