Congratulations to the City of Dublin for receiving the Specialized Plan Award from American Planning Association (APA Ohio)! 🎉 EMH&T is proud to have supported this visionary planning effort with engineering expertise—including evaluations of water and sanitary sewer infrastructure, the development of a district-wide stormwater master plan, and transportation studies that explored future connectivity, such as a potential bridge overpass linking Metro Center with areas west of I-270. Our findings helped shape the Metro Center Revitalization Plan, and we’re excited to see this area evolve to better serve Dublin’s businesses and residents.

EMH&T has an Employee Grant Program that provides a monetary award to a charitable organization with which an EMH&T employee is directly involved as a volunteer. One of our Urban Design engineers was the recipient of this Grant Program this spring for his volunteer efforts at Form5 Prosthetics. Form5 Prosthetics provides a critical need for an under-served demographic through the practical application of engineering with a mission of empowering people to interact successfully with their world and future. The Professional Surveyor will be involved in and responsible for the planning and completion of multiple survey projects and production of survey documents by working with office and field staff to ensure the final work product meets the client’s scope, standards, and deadline. Our Planning and Landscape Architect professionals played a crucial role in park design, focused on inclusivity of all ages and ability levels.

EMH&T helped make a busy area in Canal Winchester, Ohio safer for pedestrians. Our team prepared project feasibility studies, funding applications, construction plans, and NEPA documentation for this safety improvement project which included extending sidewalk through the Gender Road (SR 674)/US 33 interchange. Modification to an existing bridge to accommodate adjacent sidewalk was required, along with reconfiguration of the US 33 westbound entrance ramp from a free-flow loop ramp to a traditional signalized intersection with dedicated right turn lane. The sidewalk provides a safer mode to connect residential development and transit centers north of the interchange with retail shopping and employment opportunities south of the interchange. The project is funded through the Highway Safety Improvement Program’s allocation for vulnerable road users and followed ODOT’s Local Project Administrator (LPA) process.
