✨ Proud to have shared how our team at Color is using 🤖 AI to scale consistent, guideline-aligned cancer care at #NSGC2025 last week. We discussed what it really looks like when clinicians use AI day-to-day - not to replace expertise, but to scale it. Using tools like Google's NotebookLM, we’ve made Color's clinical protocols instantly searchable and actionable, helping every clinician access the right, evidence-based guidance in the moment of care. The result? Every patient receives the same high-quality, guideline-aligned care, no matter which clinician they see. Grateful for the thoughtful conversations that followed, and for the chance to represent Color, the first Virtual Cancer Clinic in the US! #AIinHealthcare #DigitalHealth #Oncology #GeneticCounseling #VirtualCare #CancerCare #ClinicalInnovation

Tomorrow: The Northeast Business Group on Health Employer Cancer Summit in New York City (SOLD OUT!) Cancer remains the top driver of employer healthcare costs, and it is also the biggest opportunity to deliver faster and more effective care. At 8:45 AM, Othman Laraki CEO of Color Health, will deliver the keynote, “The Cancer Care Continuum: Where We Are Today and What’s Ahead.” He will explore how care delivery models are evolving to provide accessible, clinically led care across every stage of the cancer journey. At 9:25 AM, Rebecca Miksad, MD, MMS, MPH, Chief Medical Officer at Color Health, will join the panel, “Advancing Prevention, Screening & Early Detection.” She will discuss how employers can take a proactive and personalized approach to prevention that improves outcomes and reduces costs through earlier action. Color is setting a new standard for how cancer care is delivered: one that combines speed, access, and direct clinical care to deliver measurable results for employers and their members. #CancerCare #EmployerHealth #HealthEquity #ColorHealth #NEBGH2025

The hidden costs of young cancer: Higher premiums, bankruptcies, and a system that can’t keep up Deeply thoughtful post by Hilary Brueck about the state of cancer in the US. "One of the biggest players in this $130 billion sector is Color Health, a virtual clinic that offers end-to-end cancer care, from genetic testing and screenings to oncology appointments and after-care. The goal is to detect cancer sooner and coordinate treatment more efficiently, saving money for employers and time for patients. Color's success is proof that the situation has become "untenable" for employers, says Othman Laraki, Color's CEO and cofounder, who was previously a product lead at Twitter and Google. Its partners include United Airlines, Red Bull, and toymaker Hasbro, and the company has seen a fivefold increase in patients this year." https://lnkd.in/gyaZqKQR

When Erica Hoffman learned she was at risk for cancer, her first thought wasn’t about herself. It was about her husband, her daughter, and what would happen if she got sick. Color’s oncologist-led care team helped her monitor her risk, guided her through preventive options, and supported her decision to move forward with preventative mastectomy surgery. What doctors found changed everything: an early-stage tumor that might have gone undetected for years. After surgery, Color’s active treatment clinicians helped her manage recovery and nutrition, reducing her risk of recurrence. When both Erica and her husband began chemotherapy at the same time, she says that having access to her clinical Color team made it possible to focus on healing. Her employer also wrapped around her with short-term disability benefits and coordination for appointments. Friends brought meals, coworkers sent care packages, and her community made sure her daughter got to soccer practice. “It was go time,” Erica says. “You just do the best you can.” Her story shows what happens when access, clinical care, and human connection all come together to make cancer care work. Cancer is the top driver of healthcare costs for both payers and employers, yet most oncology strategies start too late to change outcomes or spend.
