More wildflowers are on the way to Plano’s parks and trails! 🌸🌻🌼 Plano Parks and Recreation has received a $5,000 Our Texas, Our Future grant through the Plano Parks Foundation to expand native pollinator wildflower plantings across our parks and trails. This project will: ✨ Continue to enhance the beauty of Plano’s natural spaces 💧 Reduce water use 🦋 Restore habitats for pollinators 🌱 Promote sustainable land management The Plano Parks Foundation-funded wildflower seeds will be planted later this month to allow for proper overwintering and vibrant blooms next spring. Keep an eye out in early 2026 for an updated Wildflower Location Map at plano.gov/wildflowers. From March to May 2026, we’ll be monitoring bloom progress and documenting wildlife activity on iNaturalist, and we encourage YOU to join in. What wildflower spots are you most excited to see return? Let us know and stay tuned as Plano’s parks come alive this spring.

Plano took home Top City honors at the North Texas Food Bank’s Peanut Butter Drive Awards—raising over $10,000 and 9,166 pounds of peanut butter to help feed families across our community. Founded in 2014 by former Mayor Harry LaRosiliere, the drive has grown to include all of Collin County. Way to go, Plano!
