This Thankful Thursday, we’re especially grateful for you and our alliance of supporters who make CHA's mission possible. Your generosity powers CHA Community Health Workers, who recently helped Claudete transform her health and maintain her independence. Facing chronic medical challenges, Claudete joined a CHA support group for Portuguese-speaking older adults. There, she connected with Community Health Workers who helped her access the right medical care and support services to maintain her independence, all in her preferred language. Today, Claudete is thriving, confident in managing her health and connected to her cultural community. To read more about the impact of your generosity, see the 2025 CHA Foundation Impact Report: https://buff.ly/EhdfV4c] Save the Date: This GivingTuesday (Dec. 2), your impact doubles thanks to a generous donor who is matching the first $20,000 raised. Mark your calendar and help us give the Gift of Health! #CHAFoundation

Community health workers recently facilitated a hypertension education workshop for Haitian Creole–speaking residents at Glendale Towers in Everett. The session focused on “What is Hypertension and Hypertension Medication?” and was the first of a four-part series. A total of 23 participants attended and received printed educational materials on hypertension. Thank you to our CHWs for continuing to share awareness about hypertension to our communities in their spoken languages!

This week, Dr. Nicholas Carson, Division Chief of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, spoke on a national panel at BHT2025, the Behavioral Health Tech conference, entitled “Beyond Band-Aids: How Evidence-Based Care Can Transform SMI Outcomes.” Other inspiring leaders contributed to this essential conversation: Katherine Hobbs, MD MPH, CEO, Author Health; Ashley Hudson-Johnson, MHA, Associate Director, Policy and Access, Otsuka Precision Health, Inc.; Lauren Mills, LCSW, MBA, COO, Valera Health; Taft Parsons III, MD, VP & Chief Psychiatric Officer, CVS Health; and Dan Gebremedhin MD, MBA, Partner, Flare Capital Partners. The discussion highlighted how data, innovation, and payer-provider collaboration are reshaping care for individuals with serious mental illness across the lifespan. Dr. Carson contributed a critical perspective on improving outcomes for young people in community health settings using evidence-based interventions. We’re proud to have his leadership at CHA as we continue advancing behavioral health care for vulnerable youth. #BHT2025 #BehavioralHealth #YouthMentalHealth
