She started with a newsletter in 2020. In July, she sold the largest behavioral health innovation conference in America, Behavioral Health Tech. Meet Solome Tibebu. Her story proves that solving real problems at scale creates unstoppable momentum. Here's what you probably missed: 1/ She built from lived experience ↳ Struggled with severe anxiety disorder as a teenager ↳ Founded Anxiety In Teens at 16 when resources didn't exist ↳ Her mission was personal before it was professional 2/ She saw the gap no one else filled ↳ Behavioral health innovation was completely fragmented ↳ Payers, providers, and founders operated in silos ↳ Great ideas died without sustainable models 3/ She scaled with impossible speed ↳ Year 1: Virtual COVID-era gathering ↳ Year 4: 2,000+ attendees in person ↳ Year 5: Acquired by Hyve Group ↳ 25% growth projected for 2025 4/ She earned trust from everyone who matters ↳ Microsoft, Salesforce, McDonald's as sponsors ↳ BetterHelp, Headspace, Blue Cross as participants ↳ Amazon and Microsoft health leaders as speakers Hyve CEO Mark Shashoua said it best: "What's exciting is the founder energy...that hunger, vision, and drive you only get from something built from the ground up." Solome didn't just create a conference. She created the marketplace where Medicaid MCOs meet digital health founders, where Blue Cross discovers scalable solutions, where innovation finally connects. Her rule for success? "Do what you said you would do and take initiative." From a teenager with anxiety and no resources to the founder who solved behavioral health's biggest problem: getting the right people in the same room. Thanks, Solome, for inviting me to speak at the Conference last week. Sorry I didn't get to say hi in person. I was overjoyed to see many people turn out to the rural mental health session. =========================== ⁉️ What gap in your industry is waiting for connection? ♻️ Share to celebrate founders who scale with purpose. 👉 Follow me (Eric Arzubi, MD) for more like this.

Jodie Sweetin brought the room to a standstill at #BHT2025. She opened up about growing up on Full House, the “chosen family” that shaped her early life, and the loneliness that followed once the cameras stopped rolling. Her honesty about recovery, the setbacks, the rebuilding, the tools that work for your journey and not anyone else’s, was a reminder that healing isn’t linear. It’s personal. It’s brave. And it’s never too late to rewrite your story. We’re still feeling the impact of her words. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Antidepressants, TMS, ketamine... we’ve innovated fast. But we’ve also missed something simple: the biology beneath the symptoms. This new piece unpacks why nutritional deficiencies remain psychiatry’s blind spot, how they mimic DSM-5 diagnoses, and why “treatment resistance” may sometimes be a metabolic problem long before it’s a psychiatric one. A must-read for anyone thinking seriously about precision mental healthcare! ⤵ https://hubs.li/Q03TQ2L20
