  • 🛰️ In-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing (ISAM) are redefining what’s possible in orbit. From extending satellite lifespans to enabling new forms of on-orbit construction and maintenance, ISAM technologies are paving the way for a more sustainable, efficient, and scalable space economy. We’re proud that Dr. Clare Martin, our Executive Vice President, contributes to this important national conversation as a member of the COSMIC - The Consortium for Space Mobility and ISAM Capabilities Steering Committee, which brings together leaders from government, industry, and academia to guide the advancement of ISAM capabilities. As Clare shares,  “ISAM technologies are transforming how we think about space — from one-time missions to long-term, maintainable infrastructure. Serving on the COSMIC Steering Committee allows me to help drive the collaboration and strategy needed to ensure these capabilities are developed responsibly and benefit the entire space community.” Advancing ISAM is essential to enabling the next generation of space missions and ensuring continued U.S. leadership in orbital capability and innovation.   #AstroscaleUS #ISAM #COSMIC

  • Precision, autonomy, and control define mission success – and those capabilities are integral to rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO). RPO allows a spacecraft to locate, approach, and interact with another object in orbit safely and precisely, which is critical for every successful on-orbit servicing mission. As a highly technical and demanding capability, RPO relies on advanced guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), onboard autonomy, and fault-tolerant systems that maintain precision and safety in dynamic orbital environments. Our solutions are enabled by our best-in-class RPO technology and strengthened by Astroscale’s global experience, expertise, and cooperation to tackle the complex challenges of orbital servicing head-on. Here are just a few examples of how Astroscale’s servicers have accelerated RPO: 🛰️ The Astroscale U.S. Refueler – Validated the integration of flight software, guidance and navigation algorithms, and sensor systems enabling precise, autonomous maneuvers around another object in orbit during RPO testing under a Space Act Agreement with premier test site NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. 🛰️ ADRAS-J – Completed the world’s first commercial RPO and inspection mission to safely approach and characterize an existing piece of large debris, with multiple fly arounds and close inspection up to 15 meters of a defunct rocket body.    🛰️ ELSA-d - Led the world’s first commercial mission to prove the core technologies necessary for on-orbit satellite servicing in LEO and establish best practices for RPO. RPO is driving the evolution of on-orbit servicing architecture and enabling the future of refueling, inspection, and orbital logistics. We’re excited to lead the next generation of in-space capabilities – turning ambitious concepts into real-world operations that will transform the future of orbital logistics. #AstroscaleUS #RPO #OnOrbitServicing #NASA

Our commitment to national service and security is rooted in a deep respect for those who have dedicated themselves to protecting our freedoms. In recognition of Veterans Day, Wes Norris, Colonel, USAF (retired), VP of National Security and U.S. Air Force veteran, reflects on the courage and commitment that define those who serve our nation. “On this Veterans Day, we pause to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and steadfast commitment of those who have worn the uniform. As an Air Force veteran, I know firsthand that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off…it’s a lifelong commitment to something greater than ourselves. The courage and sacrifice of America’s veterans continue to inspire the nation to live by the values they fought to protect. Today, and every day, we honor those who’ve served and those still serving.”  — Wesley Norris, VP, National Security  #AstroscaleUS #VeteransDay

  • “We’re at a stage right now where the national security domain of space is the only domain of operations that isn’t backed up and supported by a logistics tail.” — Ron Lopez, President, Astroscale U.S., via Aviation Week Network   As the United States Department of War advances the Golden Dome initiative, commercial innovation will be key to building a space logistics layer that would sustain U.S. assets and ensure operational flexibility in orbit. Launch and logistics are not mutually exclusive; they’re complementary pillars of a resilient national security space enterprise. Servicing capabilities reinforce proliferated constellations, sustaining critical assets, and multiplying the value of launch investments. By enabling assets to be refueled, repositioned, and recovered, a true logistics layer would ensure persistent presence and enduring advantage in contested environments. That’s the future we’re building. 🚀 Read more in Aviation Week: https://lnkd.in/d5AQekuX   #AstroscaleUS #OnOrbitServicing #NationalSecuritySpace #GoldenDome
