Don't just assess—systematize. Here's your roadmap: Action 1️⃣: Identify your top 3 performers in critical roles and document the specific traits that separate them from average ones. List objective indicators you could measure in candidates during hiring, such as case study performance or behavioral assessments that reveal these traits. Action 2️⃣: Review your last 5 hires and calculate what predicted their success or failure, including the real cost of your most recent mis-hire. Identify exactly where bias enters your process (resume screening, unstructured interviews, or over-reliance on referral networks) so you know what to fix first. Action 3️⃣: Create a scoring rubric for one critical role using insights from Action 1, then pilot one objective assessment like a work sample test or structured case study.
