We’re proud to announce our Domestic Abuse Support Group (DASG) has been recognised by the Employer’s Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA) through the Everyone’s Business Award. Our UK and Ireland DASG continues to ensure no one has to face domestic abuse alone. Its dedication to challenging stigma and encouraging open conversations means we can continue to break down barriers and make sure that help is available to all who need it. None of this would be possible without the passion of our people-led groups who support our commitment to fostering a workplace where everyone feels supported, heard, and valued. #BMSUK #BMSIreland #DomesticAbuseAwareness

Inspiring Change at One Young World 2025 We’re immensely proud of Emma Bennett Wren who represented #BMSIreland as one of 10 delegates from across BMS globally at the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich. The One Young World (OYW) Summit is a global forum that brings together young leaders from more than 190 countries to discuss solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges, including climate action, health equity, ethical leadership, and diversity. Emma shared how inspired she felt by the speakers and the BMS-led workshop, ‘Turning Vision Into Action.’: “I’m so grateful for this opportunity and would like to thank the OYW Core Team, OYW Returning Ambassadors, the BMS CLIMB People and Business Resource Group, Remo Gujer, and my manager, Ruth Ryan, for making this possible. The amazing speakers were so motivating and every delegate left inspired. The experience doesn't stop here: we all left with a responsibility to bring home our learnings and transform them into a meaningful project.” Learn more about One Young World here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dh8uURR

Creating a safe and supportive workplace starts with awareness and understanding. Recently, we held a powerful session on domestic abuse awareness with Dr. Ravi Gill, CPsychol, focusing on the experiences of male survivors, a topic that is often overlooked. Dr Gill spoke about the stigma and fear that can prevent men from speaking out, and how critical it is that workplaces respond with compassion, belief, and understanding. Sometimes it takes many conversations before someone feels safe enough to share what they are going through, which is why psychological safety must sit at the heart of our culture. We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and heard. #BMSUK #BMSIreland #DomesticAbuseAwareness

Kudos to Clare Rawlinson-Malone, Moreton Site Lead, who is putting her best foot forward to raise awareness and vital funds for a cause close to many of our hearts at #BMSUK. In support of Maggie's Centres, a charity that provides essential care and support to people facing cancer and their loved ones, Clare’s fundraising is a shining example of the teamwork, resilience, and community spirit that defines our people. We’ve also been proud supporters of Maggie’s Centres for several years through our Country 2 Country 4 Cancer (C2C4C) Europe cycling fundraiser, helping to ensure Maggie’s can continue providing life-changing care when it’s needed most. Best of luck, Clare! We’ll be cheering you and your dance partner, Freddie, on every step of the way. 🪩
In a few weeks, I’ll be stepping far outside my comfort zone and onto the dance floor for a fundraising event in support of Maggie's Centres. This is a charity that provides incredible care for people facing cancer, supporting the person behind the patient. As a pharmacist, scientist, and busy mum, I’m used to juggling many roles, but learning to jive for charity is a whole new challenge! Preparing for this event has already taught me so much about teamwork, resilience, and the power of community. My friends and family are rallying around me—making jam to sell, encouraging me to make it to training, even after long days when work and life gets too busy (Vicky Wright-that's you!). Their support is reminding me how important it is to lean on others and celebrate collective effort, both at home and at work. Stepping into unfamiliar territory, asking for help, and supporting each other through challenges are key to innovation and success. And sometimes, you just have to and give it a go, even if you might fall off your dance shoes on your bottom! Thank you in advance to my dance partner Freddie, everyone supporting my fundraising and training. Let’s keep building communities where we lift each other up and aren’t afraid to try something new. #Teamwork #Resilience #Community #LifelongLearning #Maggies #Fundraising #PersonalGrowth

#ADHDAwarenessMonth is observed every October and we took the opportunity to reflect on the importance of understanding and embracing neurodiversity in all its forms. In the UK alone, around three million people are living with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Yet, ADHD is often misunderstood, particularly in professional settings. Too frequently it’s framed as a “deficit” when in reality, it represents a different cognitive style that can bring creativity, focus, and innovation to teams when recognised and supported. Our Neurodiversity Advocacy Group continues to raise awareness and champion inclusion for colleagues with ADHD or other neurodivergences. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone is valued, respected, and supported to perform at their best. We brought together an inspiring group of women for a thought-provoking conversation on leadership, empowerment and the future of healthcare as part of #GlobalPatientWeek in Ireland. Karen Costello, General Manager Ireland, and Paula Malone, Executive Director Quality, were joined by Marissa Carter, Founder of Cocoa Brown and Carter Beauty, for an open and honest discussion about female leadership. Hosted by Melanie Morris, IMAGE Media's Contributing Editor, the panel explored what it means to lead with authenticity and purpose, and how staying connected to your purpose can guide meaningful decisions and lasting impact. Let’s continue to celebrate those redefining leadership and shaping a more inclusive future. #WomenInLeadership #BMSIreland
