I appreciated the opportunity to meet with investors and analysts at our Capital Markets Day in Seattle, where we announced our strategic direction going forward. This includes opportunities in tech and digital infrastructure, capitalizing on demographic shifts and building resilient societies, as we create great customer and societal value.    We elaborated on our raised financial target for Construction, to an operating margin of at least 4.0%, together with the long-term growth opportunities for the stream. In Project Development we will prioritize our capital allocation, capitalizing on our financial strength, and restoring profitability to targeted levels before we grow. In summary, I’m confident this will generate attractive value for both our shareholders and our customers. #Skanska #CapitalMarketsDay 

It was a pleasure to meet with many of our investors and analysts at our Capital Markets Day in Seattle. The event provided a valuable opportunity to share our progress, explore our long-term strategic priorities and commercial direction, and discuss the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.   To summarize, we are very well positioned for the shifts that are taking place in the market. We will position Skanska for growth areas in construction and continue to enhance our performance. On the Residential side we need to strengthen our offering – and our portfolio – while in Commercial Property Development, we will focus even more on maximizing value creation in a market that is gradually returning to normal levels. Toppa lag i Antarktis ❄️🙌 Veldig stas med befaring på Troll forskningsstasjon med entreprenør, underentreprenør, arkitekt og rådgivere!   Vår prosjektsjef Knut-Ola Lunde leder arbeidet med å planlegge den nye forskningsstasjonen i Dronning Maud land. Nå har han for første gang hatt gleden av å invitere med teamet sitt med Skanska i spissen. Med på reisen var også LPO arkitekter, Instanes AS og LNS Spitsbergen.   Norsk Polarinstitutt • Norwegian Polar Institute har som vanlig stått for en topp tilretteleggelse av reisen, flyhåndtering og opphold 👏   Teamet har hatt er tett program, for å rekke over alle deler av stasjonen med tekniske installasjoner, behov og «do’s and don’ts» fra dem som kan bygg i Dronning Maud Land. Målet er å gi alle en forståelse av fysikken, reisen og omfanget på jobben. Det har vært veldig givende å dele erfaringene våre med et større lag som skal gjennomføre arbeidene!   Vårt eminente Troll-team inkluderer også: Bravida, Assemblin, Energima Gruppen Multiconsult, Norconsult og Ramboll.   Etter planen skal vi levere forprosjektet vårt tidlig i 2027. Detaljprosjektering og selve byggingen av den nye forskningsstasjonen er avhengig av at Stortinget beslutter at prosjektet skal gjennomføres og bevilger midler til dette.   ✈️ Vi er heldige som har med oss mange flinke folk i kompetente selskaper når vi skal erstatte gamle Troll og etablere Norges nye forskningsstasjon i Antarktis. Dessverre er det plassbegrensninger når vi skal reise omtrent så langt unna Norges fastland som det er mulig å komme, slik at ikke alle kunne bli med i denne omgang.   Heldigvis kommer det flere sjanser. 🏗️ In January, we're replacing a 60-year-old bridge that takes the West Coast Main Line over the M6 motorway. 🚆 Due to its age, the existing structure in Penrith can only accommodate one train across it at a time, delaying journeys for our rail passengers. 🗓️ Working with Skanska and National Highways, we'll replace the bridge with a brand-new, prefabricated, 130-metre, and 3,000-tonne structure. 🛣️ We're investing £60m to ensure this new Clifton bridge continues to safely carry passenger and freight trains over one of Britain's busiest motorways. 🚧 To carry out this work, we'll close the M6 motorway and the West Coast Main Line (from Oxenholme to Carlisle) on specific dates in Janaury. ⚡ Elsewhere in Cumbria, we'll renew over 80km of overhead line equipment (OLE) and continue a £61m modernisation of the West Coast Main Line's signalling systems. 📰 To find out more about the Clifton bridge replacement, visit the Network Rail website: https://lnkd.in/dg-nijSM 💬 William Brandon | Rosario Barcena | Neil Sterio 🤝 Skanska | National Highways #️⃣ #Clifton #Penrith #Infrastructure #Motorway #CivilEngineering
