The pre-eminent body for professionals in finance roles and in NZ’s financial services eco-system with almost 2000 members nation-wide INFINZ stands for a vibrant, efficient and transparent financial services eco-system to better serve the needs of NZ’s economy. Members include: institutional and investment bankers, sharebrokers and corporate financiers, CFOs, Treasurers and Directors, corporate lawyers, regulators, academics, journalists, tertiary students and funds management professionals. Membership is by the professional concerned who must sign-up to our code of ethics.

  • Submissions are now open for the NZ Debt Market Issue of the Year, proudly sponsored by Computershare. This award recognises outstanding debt issues completed in 2025, highlighting transactions that strengthened New Zealand’s capital markets and delivered strong outcomes for issuers and investors. It celebrates innovation, market impact and the skill involved in structuring and delivering successful debt offerings. Eligible transactions include publicly announced fixed-interest securities placed significantly with New Zealand investors, including preference shares and convertible instruments. The award is issued jointly to the Issuer, the Arranger or Lead Manager, and the Financial Adviser where applicable. Judges will consider the innovation behind the deal, how well it met the issuer’s objectives, the quality of market reception, and the contribution the transaction made to the depth and health of New Zealand’s debt markets. Consideration will also be given to how the transaction supported positive outcomes for the environment, society and broader stakeholders. Submissions close 11 February 2026. This award recognises excellence in equity capital markets activity completed during 2025, acknowledging the transactor, arranger or lead manager, and financial adviser where applicable. It highlights transactions that have strengthened the breadth, depth and functioning of New Zealand’s equity markets. Eligible transactions include IPOs and placements of listed equity securities on the NZX Main Board (NZSX), including securities that convert mandatorily to equity. Transactions must involve significant participation by New Zealand-domiciled investors and may be undertaken by any issuer or offeror, whether New Zealand-based or offshore. The judging panel will consider the significance of the transaction to New Zealand’s equity capital markets, the achievement of issuer or offeror objectives, investor reception and post-offer share price performance relative to the index, as well as the complexity of the transaction and the challenges overcome.     Submissions are now open for the Mid-Market M&A Transaction of the Year, proudly sponsored by BDO in New Zealand. This award recognises excellence in New Zealand’s mid-market mergers, acquisitions, divestments and equity raisings, celebrating transactions completed in 2025 with an enterprise value between $25 million and $250 million. It acknowledges both the Transacting Entity and the Lead Financial Adviser/s, recognising the strategic, structural and execution expertise required to deliver successful outcomes in the mid-market.
