We celebrate the power of cities to drive climate resilience and sustainable transformation. 🌍💪 In MULTICLIMACT, our demo sites show how local action makes a global difference: 🌆 Camerino (Italy) applying resilient design, innovative materials, and digital tools to tackle combined climate and seismic risks. 🏙️ Riga (Latvia) testing innovative heating and cooling solutions to enhance the climate resilience of heritage buildings like the historic Central Market. 🌃 Barcelona (Spain) testing permeable pavements and SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems) to reduce flooding, improve safety, and support climate-resilient urban design. 🌇 Leischendam-Voorborg & Roermond (The Netherlands) strengthening flood resilience through two demos: in Leidschendam-Voorburg, fiber-optic sensing monitors a historic dike’s stability against extreme weather, while in Roermond, smart monitoring systems test movable flood barriers to enhance real-time crisis response.
