#OurShakti - Our Partnerships We are proud to share that Digital Bharat Collaborative (a part of Piramal Foundation), in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), India has developed mental health modules for the Karuna Fellowship program. As a key step in implementing this curriculum, 29 master facilitators will now lead the effort to train and equip Karuna Fellows across Big Bets. To mark this moment, we came together on November 17, 2025, in Delhi for a Mental Health Facilitator Certification Ceremony. A total of 32 participants completed a 20-week learning journey and were formally recognized for their commitment and growth under the Manasvini Project. The event was joined by Dr. Vrinda MN (Professor, Dept. of PSW, NIMHANS), Dr. Kimneihat Vaiphei (Associate Professor, Dept. of PSW, NIMHANS), Mr. Manmohan Singh (Co-Founder & CEO, Aspirational Bharat Collaborative & Kaivalya Education Foundation), Mr. Deepak Majitha (CTM, Gender & Karuna Fellowship), and Mr. Upendra Rabindran (CTM, Talent, Aspirational Bharat Collaborative), whose presence added immense value to the celebration. The event also marked the launch of the Master Facilitator Manual, a step that strengthens mental health capacity at the community level and supports facilitators as they take this work forward. Through this collaboration, more than two thousand rural women (Karuna Fellows) are expected to be oriented and trained on mental health. #DigitalBharatCollaborative #MentalHealth #WomenEmpowerment #KarunaFellows

SARATHI 104 Helpline is strengthening its role in public health research through capacity building for Phase II of the Outmigration Study in Assam. Out-migration for healthcare has become a growing concern in the state, with many patients travelling outside Assam for treatment. To understand the reasons behind this trend, the National Health Mission, Assam, requested SARATHI 104 Helpline to participate in Phase II of the Outmigration Study titled “To determine the reasons for outward migration of patients from Assam to seek healthcare services.” During a detailed orientation session by experts from the Regional Resource Centre (RRC), North Eastern States, team members were trained on survey methodology, FAQs, and data validation protocols to ensure quality data collection and meaningful insights. In the first phase of outbound calling, the SARATHI 104 team will reach out to over 700 beneficiaries across Assam to gather authentic insights into healthcare-related migration patterns. ACCESS | EMPOWER | TRANSFORM Meet our changemaker Tanvi Sultana – a Gandhi Fellow from Batch 18, who turned one beneficiary’s medical crisis into a story of hope and recovery. At the Chinchwad Dispensary in Pune, Tanvi met Vikas Choudhary, who had just undergone an emergency angioplasty costing ₹3,60,000, all of which was paid from his own pocket and without any ESIC registration. Seeing his distress, Tanvi stepped in. She guided him through every step of the ESIC reimbursement process, from registration to documentation and claim submission, ensuring no detail was missed. Her determination made all the difference. Vikas received ₹3,60,000 in reimbursement, easing his financial burden and restoring his faith in the system. Stories like this show how Gandhi Fellows turn challenges into action and make change happen on the ground. On this Children’s Day, we asked our team members, Karuna Fellows, and Gandhi Fellows a simple question: What does childhood mean to you? Their responses were full of hope, reflecting the values we carried as children and showing how those same values continue to guide the way we work, connect, and create impact today. At Digital Bharat Collaborative, we carry compassion and innovation into our work - strengthening public systems, empowering communities through digital innovation, and enabling equitable access to quality public services for all.
