In 2022, PAI completed the sale of asmodee, a leading global publisher and distributor of modern board games and trading cards, to the publicly traded video gaming and media group, Embracer Group. This followed the company's transformation from a leader in the niche board game sector into a global transmedia platform, with sales more than doubling during PAI's three years of ownership. PAI is delighted to welcome new shareholders to Froneri, the global pure-play leader in ice cream, following a highly successful and oversubscribed €3.6bn equity transaction. This milestone reflects strong demand from investors and underlines the confidence in Froneri’s long-term growth prospects. Under the new structure, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) becomes a significant minority co-investor in Froneri alongside PAI and a new single-asset continuation vehicle backed by both existing and new investors, led by Goldman Sachs. Nestlé remains a committed c. 50% shareholder. Since its formation in 2016 as a 50:50 joint venture between PAI’s R&R Ice Cream and Nestlé’s European ice cream business, Froneri has grown into a global, brand-led leader in ice cream with revenues of €5.5bn. We are proud to continue our journey with Froneri and Nestlé, and to welcome ADIA and other leading global institutions as shareholders, for Froneri’s next phase of growth.
