Germany’s biggest stadium just got an upgrade! 🏟️ We’ve installed over 11,000 solar modules on the roof of SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, home of Borussia Dortmund. This PV system offers a capacity of over 5 MW - a world record as the most powerful photovoltaic installation ever built on a stadium roof. ⚡️ A complementary battery storage system with a capacity of 3.7 MWh will be completed in early 2026. Covering around half of the stadium’s electricity needs, this partnership not only promotes sustainability but also drives the energy transition in professional sports.

From five to three: We’ve just started repowering our onshore wind farm in Calle, Lower Saxony. The three new turbines will have a combined capacity of over 17 MW – almost twice as much as before. Dismantling of the old turbines is already underway, and the new ones are set to go into operation by the end of 2026. But repowering is only part of what makes this project truly sustainable. We’re reusing the concrete from the old foundations to build the access roads for the new wind farm. One of the existing towers will even find a new home in another project, while the remaining materials will be recycled appropriately. From orchards and hedgerows to woodland areas – we’re preserving all current ecological compensation zones and adding new biodiversity measures, such as flowering strips. All of this is bringing us closer to making renewable energy not only more powerful, but also more resource-efficient. ♻️

𝗖𝗢𝗣𝟯𝟬: 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳-𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝟯𝟬 - 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗲𝗹é𝗺 Today the negotiation rooms are empty, everyone is off to take some rest and restore energy for week two of COP30. As the first week of COP30 came to a close last night, a clear theme is emerging: 👉 this is the COP where finance, implementation and scale finally take centre stage. Across negotiations and in the real-economy agenda, we’re seeing a shift from pledges to practical mechanisms: 🔹 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 💶 For the first time, the Circle of Finance Ministers has put economic and fiscal decision-makers at the heart of climate action. The conversation is no longer about “trillions needed” but about building the systems to actually move them. 🔹 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 From the $300m Belém Health Action Plan, to the scaling of the World Green Building Council’s transition programme across Africa and Asia-Pacific, to the operational launch of high-integrity rainforest credits under Articles 5.2 and 6.2 — implementation is visibly accelerating. 🔹 “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿.” This became the unofficial motto of Week 1. Hard-to-abate sectors, heavy industry, and the built environment are stepping into the spotlight with concrete pathways to scale. 🔹 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲🌱 Dubbed the “Forest COP,” the Amazon’s role as a living climate system has been underscored by Indigenous leaders and governments alike. Protecting forests is being framed not only as stewardship, but as global risk management. 🔹 𝗡𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮 Subsidiary Bodies closed last tonight. Outstanding issues — from Article 6 rules to transparency and the financing framework — now move to ministers. The crunch phase begins. One week in, the message from Belém is clear: 𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 — 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲. #COP30 #Belem #Halfterm #Amazon

The German economy continues to make progress toward low-carbon business models. And RWE once again ranks among the frontrunners, maintaining a leading position in an increasingly ambitious field. These are the findings from a recent study by Union Investment, evaluating the climate strategies of DAX-40 companies across four dimensions: transparency, ambition, incentives, and reduction. What makes this study particularly valuable is that it places emphasis not only on current performance, but on the pace of transformation and the credibility of long-term implementation. We remain firmly committed to executing our strategy and transforming our business: from a fossil-fuelled focused power generator to a driving force toward a low-carbon, affordable and secure energy system. Our commitment to our clearly defined goal—becoming net zero by 2040—remains strong. Overall, this is another testament to the dedication and excellence of our entire team. Thank you.

RWE has completed construction of its first project in Louisiana, the 100 MW Lafitte Solar project in Ouachita Parish, just outside Monroe. Lafitte Solar will deliver reliable, affordable, locally produced energy to power Meta’s operations through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and generate enough electricity to serve 17,000 homes and businesses across the region. The project will also generate about $32 million in regional tax revenue, supporting schools and community organizations, while promoting sustainable land use through native vegetation and agrivoltaics with local sheep grazing. Lafitte Solar is part of RWE’s growing portfolio—advancing reliable power generation while delivering tangible benefits to local communities.

Three quarters in and RWE is going strong!   We are satisfied with the results of the first nine months of 2025: we have already achieved more than 80% of our adjusted earnings per share target and confirm our guidance for the full year.   Above all, we are very positive about our prospects. Demand for electricity is growing worldwide, not least due to the boom in artificial intelligence, and demand for renewable energy is therefore growing too. We are continuing to grow our portfolio in a value-accretive way and expect to surpass 40 gigawatts of renewable energy assets, battery storage systems, and flexible generation by the end of 2025. Watch the video to learn more about our key figures in under a minute.   Behind all these numbers are the efforts and dedication of #TeamRWE, who are continuously driving our success forward. Thank you for your great work.   For further details, have a look at the press release: https://lnkd.in/eK2jviDT
