Tire heroes, assemble! Meet our new colleagues: Rubber Ranger, LifeCycle Commander and Cargo Knight. They might sound like they have rolled straight out of a sci-fi movie – but they are very real and hard at work. At our commercial tires retread plant in Hannover-Stöcken (Germany) and other global facilities, these robots are transforming the logistic in our production sites. Equipped with advanced sensors, 360-degree camera systems, and AI-powered navigation, they move independently and safely through the production hall. With a top speed of around two meters per second – about as fast as a brisk walk – they transport tires between stations. Each robot carries a trolley with a 75kg tire. That means: Our employees no longer have to move heavy tires manually across the hall. This reduces physical strain and gives them more time to focus on tasks like operating machinery and ensuring quality control. What happens when passion for cycling meets world-class talent? This autumn, a group of customers and influencers experienced something truly unforgettable: a Coffee Ride with our brand ambassador and four-time Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar in Slovenia. Together with the two-time world champion, participants explored the Slovenian countryside of his home country and rode alongside Tadej himself. The program included a 56 km tour with scenic stops in Brdo, a coffee break with personal insights from Tadej, and an afternoon program in Ljubljana featuring a boat ride and a castle dinner with Andrej Hauptman, sports director of UAE Team Emirates - XRG. But this event was more than just cycling. It was about passion, performance, and partnership – and showcased what great teamwork can achieve. We don’t wear out – we level up our methods to reduce tire wear. Together with Technische Universität Braunschweig, we have developed a vacuum-based method that captures even the finest tire and road wear particles directly at their source. This real-time information helps us refine our tire designs to reduce wear without compromising safety or performance. Through projects like this, we are not only advancing our technologies but also preparing our products for upcoming regulations like the Euro 7 standard, which will introduce limits on tire wear emissions in the EU in 2028. The German automotive-club ADAC recently confirmed our progress: our tires emit 11% fewer particles than the average competitor tire.
