I have two servers here and one LOM card here:
DL380 Gen10 plus, iLO V: 3.15, BIOS V: 8/6/2025
DL385 Gen10 plus. iLO V: 3.15, BIOS V: 5/16/2025
LOM i350-T4 OCP V3 4-port RJ45
Problem: When the card is installed in the DL385, the temperature sensor 29 (LOM card) shows up in the list of iLO temperatures.
When the same card is installed in the DL380, sensor 29 is not in the list and when adding the "missing sensors" it tells me "LOM card absent"
I also replaced the card with another one of the same type... same problem. And both LOMs are working without a problem on all ports.
Is there a logical reason why one server has the card in the list while the other doesn't?
I realize this is something I just could ignore, but the customer has noticed it and is worried something could be wrong. And in fact, there is no explanation for this...
"If it seems illogical... you just don't have enough information"

SolutionHello @PDP-Fan,
The reason is simply that the two servers use different hardware designs, and only the DL385 Gen10 Plus reports a temperature sensor for the OCP i350-T4 LOM card. The DL380 Gen10 Plus does not include that sensor in its system board layout, so iLO marks it as “absent,” even though the network card is installed and working normally.
Nothing is wrong with the LOM card or the server; both cards work fine, all ports operate, and the hardware is fully recognized. It’s just a normal platform difference in how each model reports sensors, not a fault.
