Ravikumar Pandya initially saw Walmart as a short stop along the way to a career in business accounting.  He joined Walmart 15 years ago as a part-time associate in one of our distribution centers. Now, as the Assistant General Manager at our new Vaughan Ambient Distribution Centre (ADC), he’s leading teams at our most advanced distribution facility.  Transferring from a conventional warehouse to the automated Vaughan ADC brought new challenges. "I asked so many questions!" he recalls, and says he leaned on the support of his General Manager, Ken Illingworth, and mentor Alice Lo, PMP.  “They made me feel at home. Sharing some exciting news. On behalf of our chairman, Greg Penner, and our Board of Directors, John Furner will become Walmart’s CEO on February 1, 2026, succeeding Doug McMillon who will retire January 31, 2026 but stay on the Board through June and as an advisor through January 31, 2027. John is a merchant, an operator, an innovator and a builder who started his career more than 30 years ago with Walmart as an hourly associate. His love for our associates and Walmart runs deep. Meet Lucas, one of our dedicated order pickers who’s been with Walmart Canada for six years. When Lucas’ son was born, he was diagnosed with a serious heart condition that required multiple surgeries and a long hospital stay. It was an incredibly challenging time for Lucas and his family.
