On June 19, Baxter Media hosted their annual Agents' Choice Awards where travel industry professionals recognized and celebrated their peers who consistently inspire innovation in all that they do. The top suppliers were represented at the gala, and as voted by travel advisors, we're thrilled to share that Lorraine Brisbois, Senior Business Development Manager for Sunwing Vacations was named as one of the Favourite Supplier Representatives, and the Favourite Travel Agent Loyalty Program was awarded to our STAR Program for the second year in a row. The power of a wish meets the magic of travel. 🌴 ✈️ We’re honoured to have partnered with Make-A-Wish Canada, Blue Diamond Resorts and NexusTours this past June to turn dreams into reality, as 27 brave and inspiring Wish kids and their families from across Canada were brought to Planet Hollywood Cancun for a once-in-a-lifetime Group Wish Trip. During their Sunwing vacation experience, the group flew from Montreal and once in destination, was treated to NexusTours private transfers, a star-worthy hotel welcome, a group dinner hosted by Planet Hollywood Cancun and the chance to enjoy every moment in the sun. This unforgettable journey was about so much more than providing a vacation - it was celebrating resilience, creating meaningful memories, and the opportunity for families to reconnect with each other. A heartfelt thank you to our in-destination partner, NexusTours, and to Planet Hollywood Cancun who hosted these incredible families for a week of togetherness and fun in paradise. --- Parce qu’un vœu peut changer une vie, surtout lorsqu’il se réalise au soleil. 🌴 ✈️ Nous sommes honorés d’avoir collaboré avec Rêves d’enfants Canada (Make-A-Wish Canada), Blue Diamond Resorts et NexusTours en juin dernier pour transformer des rêves en réalité. 27 enfants au parcours inspirant et leurs familles, venus des quatre coins du Canada, ont eu la chance de vivre un voyage de groupe inoubliable à Planet Hollywood Cancun. On May 15, Canadian travel professionals came together to celebrate the best and brightest in the travel industry for the annual TravelPulse Canada Readers’ Choice Awards, where several teams across Sunwing were nominated. We’re honoured to share that two incredibly inspiring members of the Sunwing family received special recognition at this year’s awards ceremony. Andrew Dawson, President of Sunwing Vacations Group, was named Canadian Travel Executive of the Year. In addition, Lorraine Brisbois, Senior Business Development Manager for Sunwing Vacations, was named Sales Representative of the Year. Congratulations to Andrew and Lorraine on your well-deserved wins - this recognition is a testament to your EPIC leadership and we are honoured to work alongside you. At Sunwing, we are incredibly proud to support women in travel and aviation during the month of March and every day of the year. In celebration of Women of Aviation Week and International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 8th, Sunwing Airlines operated two flights with an all-female crew, from Montreal to Cancun and from Toronto to Montego Bay. There was so much excitement as both flights took the skies, led by our incredible female crews, and we are honoured to work alongside so many talented women. We are excited to share that Samantha Taylor has been promoted to the newly created role of WestJet Group Chief Experience Officer. In her new role, which is part of the WestJet Group Executive Committee, Sam will have accountability for both airline and vacation experiences, inclusive of group-wide experience management, marketing and contact centres. Sam will drive forward the group's steadfast commitment to the guest journey, whether flying with WestJet or planning a Sunwing vacation. Congratulations to Sam on her new role!

As we consider this year’s theme for Black History Month of “Black Legacy and Leadership: Celebrating Canadian History and Uplifting Future Generations”, one that celebrates the diversity, leadership and legacy of Black Canadians, we are reminded of the contributions and accomplishments of Black communities and our Black colleagues across Canada, and all the possibilities of what we can achieve together.   This morning, our primary airline partner, Sunwing Airlines Inc. embarked on its celebratory flight in honour of Black History Month, departing from Toronto to Montego Bay with a plane full of excited travellers on their way to enjoy their hard-earned vacations. Today’s flight included some of Sunwing’s most devoted employees from the Black community who provided the utmost care inflight.   To all those who were instrumental in getting today’s flight off the ground, you are a true representation of Sunwing’s EPIC values and we are honoured to stand alongside you, on the ground and in the sky.
