Today, we’re spreading sunshine as Porter takes to the skies from Toronto to Puerto Vallarta. The occasion was marked by a warm welcome with Mariachi 🇲🇽! This new route brings Porter’s elevated economy experience to more travellers, connecting Toronto with the beautiful Pacific coast of Mexico. On Take Your Kids to Work Day last week, Porter welcomed 13 students to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport for a special behind-the-scenes look at our operation! Students had the chance to meet with team members from various departments, including maintenance, flight attendants, pilots, airports, and uniforms, and learn more about what a career in aviation could look like. They also toured a Porter aircraft, hangar, and even our systems operations command centre! Thank you to our team members for enthusiastically sharing their experiences working in aviation and at Porter with the next generation of aviation professionals! On Remembrance Day and Veterans Day, we remember those who served and sacrificed for our country. We also honour the men and women who continue to serve, overseas and here at home, including some of our own team members. Among them are Porter team members who also serve as members of the Canadian Armed Forces. One of our E195-E2 pilots, who is also a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Canadian Navy, shares his reflections on the meaning of this day: “Remembrance Day is a time of reflection, gratitude, and responsibility. Each year, I think about my grandfather who served during the Second World War and took part in the Battle of the Atlantic. His generation faced unimaginable challenges, and their courage laid the foundation for the freedom we enjoy today. Through my own time at sea, I have come to understand my connection with my grandfather in a much deeper way. His story is part of mine, and remembrance means carrying that legacy forward while honouring all who continue to serve. For me, Remembrance Day is not just about looking back. It's a major accomplishment to publish a report of this scope. After reaching a number of milestones throughout the year, this brings everything together in one package. Thanks to Vivian Zhu for leading these efforts, coordinating with our ESG Committee and other internal contributors, as well as external partners. The work is a great asset to our organization.

Porter has released its full 2024 Sustainability Report, which builds upon our earlier TCFD Report. As our presence in new markets continues to grow, we are extending our commitment to responsible and sustainable operations to additional communities. This report details Porter’s reframed Sustainability Strategy through four newly-defined pillars: 🌎 Planet: Focusing on enhancing fuel and operational efficiency, including implementing best practices, procuring renewable electricity, managing ground operations to reduce energy usage, and mitigating noise. 👥 People: Emphasizing empowering and supporting our team members. 🌐 Governance: Progressing data integrity and transparency, especially related to our carbon footprint. 📊 Responsible Business: Committing to ethical sourcing strategies, including for catering products and uniforms. It demonstrates our achievements, key projects and the teams behind the scenes. Porter will continue aligning with the federal aviation climate action plan, participate in industry decarbonization efforts and operate as a responsible community member.
