With several major national projects pending, it’s no surprise that Canada’s new government has made accelerating delivery a core mission. From increased budget allocations to fast-tracking nation-building initiatives, the goal is clear: protect and transform industries, strengthen the economy, and empower citizens. However, research shows that fast-tracking large, complex, and interdependent projects, especially in infrastructure, presents significant challenges, but also unique opportunities when executed effectively. In this blog, Randy McMeekin, Lise Bouchard, Jordan-Nicolas Matte, and Moe Roghabadi explore the path forward, examining how the construction industry, in collaboration with government, can align efforts to reduce these multifaceted risks and unlock the full scale of opportunities ahead: https://lnkd.in/gVHpgE84 #RiskManagement #FutureOfEngineering #EngineeringInnovation

Projects in mining, energy, and infrastructure are undergoing a profound transformation. Development in the 19th and early 20th centuries was defined by state-led mega-projects, vertically integrated supply chains, and a singular focus on industrial growth. Today, global interdependence, fragile ever-changing supply chains, capital efficiency, and the imperative of sustainable, inclusive development, drive project delivery. Discover how we stand at the forefront of this transformation, redefining how capital projects are conceived and executed.
