Cineplex Community Day remains one of our favourite days of the year, and thirteen years later, the excitement hasn’t faded! 🎬💛🎮 A heartfelt thank you to everyone across the country who joined us this past Saturday, by watching a free movie at one of our theatres, engaging in some friendly competition at our Playdium and The Rec Room locations or by enjoying some of our discounted snacks and drinks. Every bite, sip, movie and game really did help make a difference! Together, we raised $174,686 for BGC Canada. As the country’s largest organization dedicated to children and youth, BGC Canada works hard to create safe, supportive spaces where young people can overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop lifelong skills. #CineplexCommunityDay #JournéecommunautaireCineplex ----------  La Journée communautaire Cineplex demeure un de nos moments favoris de l’année. Par chaque bouchée, gorgée, film ou partie, vous avez contribué à la cause, si bien qu’ensemble, nous avons amassé 174,686 $ pour BGC Canada. Plus grand organisme national consacré aux enfants et aux jeunes, BGC Canada s’efforce de leur offrir des espaces sûrs et accueillants où ils peuvent surmonter des obstacles, tisser des liens positifs et acquérir des compétences qui leur serviront toute leur vie. #CineplexCommunityDay #JournéeCommunautaireCineplex

BGC Canada is committed to engaging collaboratively with Indigenous communities across the country. As a part of this important work, our Manager of Indigenous Programs, Lisa, toured some of our BGC Clubs to understand how we can provide informed support for Indigenous youth and communities—working towards assuring equitable and strength-based engagement across all the BGC Clubs in Canada. Thanks to Shell Canada, we’ve had the resources to put our commitments into action, allowing us to co-create meaningful programs that respond directly to the needs of Indigenous children and youth while honouring truth, traditional practices and cultural identities. This week, our #YouthOfTheYearCA were lucky to receive some sweet treats from when they arrived in Toronto, and were spoiled with a whole table full of sweets at their event after-party—YUM!
