We have an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join our clients team at their fast-growing Mining Services team at their Perth head office. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting services across a designated portfolio. Your financial insights will help shape operational decisions, drive continuous improvement, and support risk mitigation strategies contributing directly to the success of a dynamic and expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of general ledger and sub-ledgers for allocated business units;
Managing the Fixed Asset Register, including timely capitalisations and disposals, and ensuring that appropriate depreciation methods are applied;
Working with Operations teams to deliver accurate monthly reports (Management and Capex) with insightful analysis;
Preparing monthly management accounts including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and budget variance analysis in collaboration with general and operations managers;
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting financial movements;
Developing and maintaining dashboards and business intelligence tools;
Analysis of financial and operational performance drivers;
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes, providing accurate inputs and analysing results;
Ensuring compliance with monthly reporting table;
Assisting with costing, budgeting, and invoicing for projects and contracts;
Contribute to finance team tasks including statutory reporting and tax matters;
Drive process improvements and support system implementations; and
Participating in ad hoc projects as required.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
A bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA);
A valid WA Drivers License;
Current National Police Clearance;
Minimum of 3 years experience in account management (including general accounting, financial analysis, audit, and management reporting);
Experience in operational finance within the mining or contracting services sector;
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica, MYOB, or equivalent;
Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills;
Excellent time management and organisational skills;
Advanced report writing and computer literacy skills;
A proactive, hands-on approach to implementing new systems and processes across operations; and
A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as required.
