The ACCC has launched a quad bike safety awareness campaign in regional Australia, warning that older male farmers remain the group most at risk of fatal injuries or crashes, with children also at risk. One ride can change everything. Even experienced riders can be caught off guard. Get home safe with a helmet, rollover protection and no children on adult quad bikes. WorkSafe is proud to support the Re:act program, which empowers design students to develop road safety campaigns that resonate with their 17-25 year-old peers. Throughout November, student-led campaigns are launching across Australia, including right here in Geelong, where The Gordon’s Madelynne Walker has been selected for her powerful concept: “Holding on to your tomorrow.” Another compelling campaign, “Click to equip”, by Bendigo TAFE student Samantha Mudford, will be rolled out in Bendigo. Developed with guidance from local road safety and industry partners, both campaigns will now roll out across partner and Re:act channels to reach young workers and road users.
