The specialised vehicle allows them to easily respond to crashes and fires on Noosa North Shore, with a second vehicle also based at Rainbow Beach to bolster response capability. Queensland Fire Department had the privilege of welcoming Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, Governor of Queensland, to the State Fire Control Centre (SFCC) in Kedron, where she met with our personnel to discuss preparations for the heightened bushfire period and severe weather season. Last week marked an historic milestone for the Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ), with the first full cohort of volunteers completing the Crew Leader Skills Program under the new RFSQ development framework. 📢 Congratulations - Australasian Rescue Challenge teams! 📢 In October the Australasian Water Rescue Challenge (AWRC) and Australasian Rescue Boat Challenge (ARBC) saw teams from across Australasia go head-to-head in an action-packed weekend of skill, teamwork, and rescue excellence. 🥇 Qld Fire and Rescue crews participated in the Australasian Rescue Organisation challenges and won in both categories!
