We had the privilege of undertaking environmental services for Addi Road Community Organisation, a valued community hub in Marrickville, Sydney. Addi Road is repurposing an existing building to support the organisation’s ongoing efforts to provide a communal space for art, culture, and social justice.   Addi Road plays a vital role in the local community by hosting over 40 grassroots organisations and initiatives across its 3.6-hectare former army depot site. The organisation runs essential programs such as the Addi Road Food Pantry, which rescues over 600,000 kilograms of edible food annually to provide meals to those in need. It also provides access to medical help, legal assistance, and human connection through its social services.   We are proud to have provided our expertise to inform the redevelopment process. JBS&G is passionate about supporting local community efforts that promote inclusion, sustainability, and wellbeing.

Our CEO Andrew Lau is hitting the waves on Friday 24 October as part of Wipeout Dementia, a property industry surfing competition supporting vital research into Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias at the UNSW Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing (CHeBA). To take part in this meaningful initiative, Andrew is teaming up with Wentworth Capital to form the Wentworth Wavemakers. The stats are sobering: - 433,300 Australians are currently living with dementia - That number is projected to nearly double by 2054 - Dementia is now the leading cause of death in Australia - 250 new cases are diagnosed each day in Australia - A new case is diagnosed every 3 seconds globally.   Andrew is participating to raise awareness of research exploring how regular physical activity may play a role in reducing the risk or delaying the onset of dementia.
