Genaspi’s Bundey BESS and Solar Project Selected for Australia’s Capacity Investment Scheme We are Proud to announce that Genaspi’s Bundey BESS and Solar Project 1 has been selected as one of 20 successful bids out of 84 for the Australian Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS)—and one of only three projects in South Australia. This milestone marks a significant step forward for our team, South Australia, and the nation’s clean energy future. Located northeast of Robertstown in the Regional Council of Goyder, Stage 1 of the project features 300 MW/1,200 MWh of battery storage and 240 MW of solar capacity, capable of powering approximately 70,000 Australian households annually. The full four-stage project will deliver a 1,200 MW/3,900 MWh hybrid solar and battery system, generating up to 900 MW of clean electricity to enhance energy stability across South Australia. The CIS provides a long-term revenue safety net, reducing financial risk for investors and enabling projects like ours to be built faster with greater confidence. Supported by Australian Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, this endorsement reflects trust in Genaspi’s vision to contribute to Australia’s target of 82% renewable electricity by 2030. We are honoured to join other innovators driving Australia’s energy transition.
