About us
We are a privately-owned and operated joint venture between lead partner, The Star Entertainment Group, and two Hong-Kong based partners, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium. Our consortium brings together a powerhouse of Australian and global experience in property and hotel development, consumer and retail markets, entertainment, and hospitality. In 2015, we were successfully chosen by the Queensland Government to transform the historic yet underutilised Queen’s Wharf Brisbane site following a competitive tender process, which came about after a state government announcement in 2012 to redevelop the precinct. After 9 years of leading the communications and engagement for Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, Graham Witherspoon departs Destination Brisbane Consortium today. Graham has been instrumental in shaping the community support, rapport, and reputation of Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, the Consortium, its contractors, and the work undertaken within the precinct since commencing in 2016. From the early days Graham set a standard to which all communications aligned creating a position of transparency and consistency. Through the closing of William Street, demolition and excavation phases and years of construction, Graham kept stakeholders, the community and industry informed and excited about what was to come. He brought together the Turrbal and Jagera communities to celebrate their combined cultural heritage within the public realm, he managed countless media events, community briefings and site tours all while waxing lyrically about his passion for Queensland’s most iconic precinct. Graham built trust with the community, solid relationships, and friendships that he will take to his next challenge. We thank Graham for all his years of passion and sincere hard work and wish him all the best in his next endeavour. #queenswharfbrisbane #destinationbrisbaneconsortium #thestarbrisbane Far East Consortium Australia The Star Entertainment Group Chow Tai Fook Enterprises (CTFE)
