RMA joined the MINEWORKERS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY and Sibanye-Stillwater in Welkom–Matjhabeng today for the launch of the MDA Digital Hub. This facility is designed to expand digital literacy, youth skills development, and sustainable enterprise growth within the community. As part of the proceedings, the Minister of Mineral Resources, Honourable Gwede Mantashe conducted a walkabout of the new facility alongside representatives from RMA, MDA, and Sibanye-Stillwater. The walkthrough showcased the Hub’s capacity to deliver Virtual Reality skills training, Robotics workshops, AI and digital literacy classrooms, and support for local SMMEs. This Digital Hub builds on the success of the MDA Agri Hub in Marikana. It reflects the ongoing commitment shared by all partners to create pathways to meaningful work, economic participation, and long-term community upliftment. Speaking at the launch, Adam Letshele, Head of Corporate Stakeholder Partnerships at RMA, reinforced this purpose: “We are here to ensure that workers are supported both during and after employment — and that this support extends to their children and communities.
