I stick to 1 career principle: take your growth into your own hands. (No one is going to do it for you) When I began working at Google, I realized that working non-stop wasn't the answer. All of my colleagues were impressive. They hyper-focused on being exceptional. They took advantage of a rich training culture and road it to the moon. I came from a startup environment that was focused on survival. So development was often dismissed due to the daily pressures of "busyness." - But intentional development is a must - You might work extra long hours - But set aside time to learn If you don't prioritize development, you'll plateau. I flourished once I focused on intentional growth. Here’s how it amplifies your results: 1) EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Self-development helps you handle stress better. You slow down, become less reactive, and learn to weave your way through difficult people. 2) EFFECTIVE MOTIVATION Self-development boosts your vitality, enabling you to manage extensive work demands effectively. 3) ENDURING SUCCESS Self-development never ends. It ensures your efforts are sustainable. You achieve more (and better). 4) ENHANCED FOCUS Self-development gives you clarity. When your head is clear, you progress faster. 5) ENJOYABLE LIFE Self-development increases happiness. You feel more confident and more empowered to overcome obstacles. Better you → Better biz → Better client results.

This is the #1 core value I see consistently in my career coaching clients: Personal / Professional Growth 🌱 Out of dozens of words describing a wide range of possible values, the common denominator amongst my clients is growth (personally & professionally). Why is growth so important to people like us? Here are a few good reasons why: 🔥 Growth Keeps You Sharp: Growth combats burnout by keeping your mind engaged and your skills fresh. 🚀 Growth = Forward Progress: In today’s fast-paced world, you’re either moving forward or falling behind. Growth ensures you’re always in the lead. 💡 Growth Keeps You Relevant: Industries evolve, technology evolves, and so should you. Combining your wisdom with continuous growth keeps you indispensable. So what can you do when you’re feeling stagnant? Here are some ideas: ✨ Take on a New Challenge: Put your hat in the ring for something new at work—big or small. What new skills can you add to your toolbox? 🌍 Learn a New Perspective: Seek out and learn from others who have completely different backgrounds and perspectives. Keep an open mind and consider how you could think differently. 👥 Surround Yourself with Growth-Oriented People: Change can feel scary until you’re around others who normalize the idea of taking risks and trying something new. Find your tribe! 🎯 Invest in a Coach: Imagine talking with someone who asks you thought-provoking questions and guides you without judgment to reach your potential. It’s life-changing! Don’t just settle—grow. Your future self will thank you. What else would you add? 💬 #CareerGrowth #PersonalDevelopment #ProfessionalDevelopment #PositionForSuccess #Leadership #ContinuousLearning #MidCareer #CareerAdvice #SelfImprovement #Coaching #GrowthMindset

The Hidden Investment Strategy of High Achievers: Why Continuous Growth Matters In my two decades as a transformational coach, I've observed a pattern among successful professionals that's worth sharing. Today, I want to highlight a profound truth I witnessed during our Soul Powered Dream Life advanced program session. Picture this: A room filled with accomplished attorneys, project managers, nurses, corporate directors, and VPs. What brings these diverse professionals together? Their commitment to continuous personal growth. The Most Valuable Investment You'll Ever Make These leaders have already achieved significant career success. Yet here they are, investing more time and resources in their personal development. Why? Because they understand a fundamental truth: Professional excellence is intrinsically linked to personal growth. Here's what sets them apart from others: They acknowledge that growth is perpetual They embrace the uncomfortable questions They understand that transformation takes time They're willing to invest in themselves when others won't The Real Cost of Not Investing in Yourself Many ask, "Why invest in personal development when I'm already successful?" Consider the alternative costs: Stagnant career progression Recurring negative patterns Emotional decision-making that leads to costly mistakes Persistent self-doubt Professional relationships damaged by unresolved personal issues The High Achiever's Secret What distinguishes these successful professionals? They've realized that personal development isn't an expense – it's an investment with compound returns. While others pay with stress, burnout, and missed opportunities, these leaders invest in their growth, understanding, and self-awareness. The Journey Continues As one participant noted, "Why does this have to take so long?" My response remains consistent: "It takes a lifetime to grow and evolve into your splendid soul, that's what your lifetime is for!" Your Call to Action Ask yourself: Are you investing in your growth, or are you paying the price of stagnation? Remember, the most successful people never stop learning, growing, and evolving. The choice is yours – invest in yourself now, or pay with limitations later. #PersonalDevelopment #Leadership #ProfessionalGrowth #Success #CareerDevelopment #SelfInvestment #ContinuousLearning
