In this context, "rewiring" means rethinking and making lasting, beneficial changes for one's next life or career stage. Rewiring leverages the brain's neuroplasticity—its ability to form new neural pathways throughout life. While the brain typically rewires itself in response to injury or disease, focused attention can also intentionally reshape these pathways. 🔸 Everyone’s rewiring journey is unique, along with its challenges. Significant challenges include allowing oneself the time to explore, avoiding hasty decisions, and resisting habitual choices. It involves prioritizing planning, overcoming mental obstacles, and maintaining discipline and accountability. It's easy to get caught up in fears of what might go wrong instead of envisioning what could go right. 💠 With a coach’s guidance, you'll frame your next opportunity with precision, uncover exciting possibilities, and acquire the tools to sustain your momentum long after the coaching relationship concludes.     Perf reviews were always stressful for me. Ask any of my managers. Not because I wasn’t doing my job well but when they would ask me, “What do you want to do?” My answer is, “I don’t know, I guess get a promotion.” Most of the time, my manager could sense the lack of enthusiasm in my voice. But think about it, at its core, performance reviews can be seen as 2 options: Move up: Get a promotion. Move out: Get a new job. Here’s another option that I learned with the more experience gained. Forging my own path. This option is probably the most challenging for a few reasons: -There is no clear “right” or “wrong” answer. -This requires you to take full responsibility for your own career development. -It necessitates confronting yourself with difficult questions. For myself I just knew I love coaching and helping people reframe the way they think about personal and professional development. Here's how I created my own path: 👽 Unique Value Proposition: I started by asking myself, "What do I want to be known for?" This wasn't about inflating my ego but about genuinely understanding my strengths and how I could leverage them. 🤹🏾♂️ Skill Specialization: While passionate about coaching, I recognized the need to specialize to differentiate myself. My coaching approach now integrates neurobiology, mindfulness, somatics, and includes experiences from silent retreats and interactions with mindfulness and coaching experts. 🌍 Community: No path is created in isolation. My community has grown to expert coaches, neuroscientists, tech founders, and seasoned entrepreneurs. 🖼️ The Bigger Picture: Creating my own path wasn’t just about escaping the stress of performance reviews but building a deeper fulfilling career. My goal has been to guide seasoned tech professionals through this very process, reshaping their views on career advancement. Is this easy? Heck no. Is it worth it? That depends on how much you value growth. Choosing to create your own path can be between narrowing your focus on development and becoming a victim of the “traditional” path.     I want to share the impact of coaching, especially for women leaders. While coaches often talk about its benefits, hearing from someone who's lived it is different. My own experience started when I felt like I was just going through the motions of leadership—outwardly confident but secretly scared of failing. Thanks to my coach, Patrick Mork, I've experienced a genuine breakthrough. 1. 🧭 Coaching has helped me find confidence in my own thoughts and decisions, teaching me to trust my inner voice over external opinions. This new confidence has led me to seek more opportunities and take greater risks. 2. 🌟 A key goal for me was to lead authentically, without conforming to pre-existing frameworks of what leadership 'should' look like. Coaching helped me discover and own my authentic leadership style. 3. 💬 Patrick taught me a new method called FUEL (Frame, Understand, Explore, Launch) for dealing with feedback. This has been far more effective than traditional methods like the feedback sandwich / SBI model. 4. 🔍 Coaching revealed the 'saboteurs' in my mind. I've learned to silence these internal critics, which has freed up mental space for better decision-making. Especially in coaching, where the trend leans heavily towards group sessions, I've chosen a different route – personalized, one-on-one coaching. Why 🤷🏽♀️ Because after working with hundreds of unique personalities, one truth stands out: while many may share similar challenges, the path to overcoming them is rarely the same. In group settings, there's a tendency to mirror others' actions, often leading to frustration when those methods don't yield the same results for everyone. My specialty is bridging the gap between spiritual growth and business success, a deeply personal journey that varies significantly from one individual to another. In my experience, no two paths to this kind of success are identical. That's why I've never prescribed the same "treatment" for any of my clients. This isn't to say group coaching doesn't have its place – it certainly does, and it works wonders in many modalities.
