  • Prioritize data quality: Use specialized platforms to filter and segment your prospects by industry, company size, and other business attributes so you only reach out to relevant contacts.
  • Automate and enrich: Combine email scraping tools with lead enrichment software to add details like job titles, social media profiles, and recent company news for a more complete view of each prospect.
  • Personalize outreach: Reference unique information from scraped data, such as recent reviews or company milestones, to make your emails stand out and increase your response rates.

Years doing cold outreach taught me this: Bad segmentation will break your campaigns Look, I get it—spray and pray is easy. It’s low maintenance, and sometimes it even works. But here’s the problem ❌ Low reply rates ❌ Risk of burning your dream clients ❌ Wasted email volume on unqualified prospects The result? Fewer meetings booked per week. Here’s what to do instead: 𝟭. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 Scrape your Total Addressable Market (TAM) using Apollo.io (or similar). Then, upload the data into Clay for deeper segmentation. 𝟮. 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 Break your list down by: ✅ Industry ✅ Seniority ✅ Revenue* ✅ Company size ✅ Role/Department To get precise revenue data, use waterfall enrichment: 🔹 Clearbit 🔹 HG Insights 🔹 RocketReach 🔹 People Data Labs 🔹 Owler - A Meltwater Offering This helps you focus on high-probability prospects who are more likely to convert. 𝟯. 𝗚𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Leverage Claygent to segment based on unique attributes: 🔍 Does the company offer Buy Now, Pay Later? 🔍 Are they SOC II, GDPR, or ISO 9001 compliant? 🔍 Do they have a podcast? Use yes/no questions or multiple-choice (max 3 options) to improve accuracy. The goal? Gather enough intelligence to anticipate their pain points, and solutions before even reaching out. 𝟰. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Ocean.io helps you find hundreds of companies similar to your highest-paying clients, while a simpler (but still effective) approach is to segment by industry and refine it over time. 𝟱. 𝗦𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗿𝘀 & 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 Another powerful way to qualify leads is by the vendors they use: ⚡ BuiltWith – See what technologies are installed on a website. ⚡ ScrapeLi – Check if they follow a certain company on LinkedIn. ⚡ PredictLeads – Scrape employee certifications & job postings to understand what software they’re using. At the end of the day, better segmentation = better results. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗽: Scrape a lead list Segment by firmographics Use Claygent for advanced segmentation Use case study-based segmentation Use vendor-based segmentation P.S. Are you implementing these methods?

Over the past 9 years, I’ve acquired 1,000+ clients for my agencies. If I were starting over today, here’s exactly how I’d land my first 10 clients: Step 1: Start with the right data The biggest challenge when starting out? Finding highly targeted prospects who are ready to buy. Here’s how I’d solve that: Google Maps. Yes, I said Google Maps. Why? Because it’s an untapped goldmine for qualified leads. With over 4,000 B2B categories, it’s packed with local businesses and SMBs often overlooked - or missing - from LinkedIn. These are hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Scrap (https://scrap.io/s/9MYK) transforms this goldmine into actionable leads by extracting from Google Maps listings: - Emails, phone numbers, & websites - Social media profiles - Website technologies - Even Google Maps ratings & reviews Filter and focus on your ideal targets in just 2 clicks. For example: - Restaurants with 4+ ratings but no Instagram. - Local businesses with websites but no ad pixels. - SMBs in specific niches or locations. Scrap’s real-time data extraction ensures you always have the most accurate info - and it’s available as a Chrome Extension for instant insights. Step 2: Personalize your outreach Generic outreach doesn’t work - relevance is everything. Try this playbook: - Subject Line: Use something attention-grabbing like “Quick question about [business name]” or “Idea for [service].” - Personalize: Reference their Google Maps reviews, website, or niche. For example: “Congrats on your 4.9-star rating - I can see why people love your café.” - Partner Up: “I help cafes like yours boost foot traffic through email marketing. I noticed a few opportunities I’d love to share.” - CTA: End with a low-pressure ask: “Does this sound worth exploring?” Pro Tip: Pair the emails from Scrap (https://scrap.io/s/9MYK) with LinkedIn outreach - connect or engage with their posts to build trust. Step 3: Stay consistent and scale your efforts Build momentum through persistence: - Follow Up: Most responses come after the 2nd or 3rd touch. Example sequence: Email → LinkedIn connect → Follow-up email → Call. - Track Metrics: Monitor open rates, replies, and booked calls. Aim for a 20%+ email response rate and 10%+ meetings booked. - Leverage Referrals: Once you’ve landed a few clients, ask, “Know anyone else who might benefit?” and share testimonials like, “We helped a local coffee shop grow foot traffic by 20% in 30 days.” - Automate: Use Scrap for fast lead gen and a CRM to manage outreach. Recap: - Use Scrap (https://scrap.io/s/9MYK) to turn Google Maps into a lead-gen machine for local businesses, SMBs, and niche prospects. - Personalize your emails with insights and a clear CTA. - Stay consistent by following up, tracking results, and leveraging referrals. - And remember: Your first 10 clients lay the foundation for scaling. #ScrapPartner

I was an AE for 8 years, and in my time Clay, Instantly.ai and AI didn't exist. Knowing what I know now, here are some Clay plays and practices that would help me smash quota. 🔍 Smart Prospecting 1. Spot buying signals before competitors - Automatically capture job postings, funding rounds, and tech stack changes that indicate purchase readiness. - Trigify.io, Serper and some Apify scrapers can help you do this. 2. Instant lead enrichment - Turn basic contact lists into comprehensive prospect profiles with multi-source data (emails, mobile number, recent news). - LeadMagic and Findymail are goated for this. 3. Clone your best customers - Identify common patterns among your top accounts and automatically generate lookalike prospect lists. - Use PandaMatch 🐼 or Ocean.io to generate the list. 💬 Personalization at Scale 4. First messages that actually get responses - Generate relevant and segmented 1st and p.s lines. Just to name a few: number of department head count, job description posts, recently joined leader. 5. Perfect-timing outreach - Set up intelligent triggers for funding events, product launches, or hiring spikes. - Trigify.io again for this. ⚡ Outbound Efficiency 6. Quality and quantity prospecting - Use AI to create segmenting outreach per contact but use a scaleable email infra + sequencer like Instantly.ai to ensure you are doing the numbers. - If IT want you to have your own server, EmailBison is your best bet. 7. Pre-qualify every lead - use AI to check each contacts LinkedIn profile and company website to double check its within your ICP + use AI to see what are their top daily priorities. 🔄 Sustainable Growth 8. Always-fresh contact data - Keep your CRM perpetually updated so your team never wastes time on outdated information. 9. Lead Score whole TAM - prioritise your market, via scoring, all customized by your personal required traits. Just a few ideas, what other things would you guys add to help sales reps hit quota?

Most agencies waste 20+ hours a week on manual tasks. Here's the 13-tool tech stack to stop that... When I first started my agency, I was spending 4 hours a day cold-calling Dubai real estate companies. It worked, but I knew there had to be a smarter way to scale without burning out. Fast forward to today, and we've built a complete automation system that books 40-50 qualified meetings every month while we focus on delivery. Here's the exact stack: ➡️ Apollo.io - Find decision makers with laser precision. ➡️ Clay.io - Qualify prospects and prepare campaigns at scale. This handles our data input, qualification rules, and personalisation workflows. ➡️ Trigify.io - Social signals detection. Captures when prospects engage with content or show buying intent across platforms. ➡️ Apify - Scrape data at scale cheaply. We went from spending £2,000/month on data to just £100/month using their workflows. ➡️ LeadMagic - Find and verify emails. Essential for ensuring your outreach actually reaches inboxes. ➡️ Smartlead - Automate email outreach at scale. Handles our high-volume campaigns while maintaining 40-60% open rates. ➡️ lemlist - Automate LinkedIn outreach at scale. Perfect for multi-channel campaigns combining email and social. ➡️ TheirStack - Find companies hiring talent. One of the strongest buying intent signals for agencies. ➡️ PhantomBuster - LinkedIn automations that run 24/7. Extracts engagements and converts them to outreach opportunities. ➡️ BetterContact - Verified phone numbers for when email isn't enough. Helps reach decision makers across multiple channels. ➡️ Instantly.ai - De-anonymise website visitors. Shows you exactly who's browsing your site so you can follow up. ➡️ RB2B - Alternative website visitor identification. We use dual platforms for global coverage and better data. ➡️ TheBoomerang - Scrape hard-to-find data from 8+ sources. Perfect for building those highly targeted prospect lists. The result? We've booked around 700 calls in our first year with just a two-person team. Most importantly, this system runs on autopilot. I only get involved when someone shows genuine interest - no more manual prospecting or hours spent researching prospects. The beauty is you can start with just 2-3 of these tools and gradually build your stack as you scale. _____________ 👋 Want an inbound/outbound for your business? We offer a DFY (done-for-you), DWY (done-with-you) or DIY (do-it-yourself) option. Interested? www.navreo.ai/book-a-call

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜’𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵... If I just started a tech company in the B2B space. There’s a lot of noise in the outbound automation and AI space these days, but not every tool is worth your time. Especially if you’re just getting started. After diving deep into GTM tech, here’s what I would prioritize to build a lean but powerful outbound motion: 1️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀: LinkedIn (Sales Nav): → The gold standard for generating a qualified baseline list of personas. 👀 Pro tip: Use advanced filters to get hyper-specific. Amplemarket: → Great for identifying potential companies and personas based on engagement data and intent signals. Ocean.io: → Amazing for finding lookalike companies and expanding your target list—especially if your product lives in niche sectors. 2️⃣ 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴: LeadMagic: → Enriches your existing data and validates emails to make sure you’re landing in the primary every time. PhantomBuster: → Automates data extraction from LinkedIn and other platforms - perfect for collecting lead info and engagement data at scale. Hunter.io: → Finds and verifies email addresses scraped from the web, helping you easily build a reliable contact list. 3️⃣ 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Clay: → My go-to for waterfall enrichment (and everything else, tbh). It’s the perfect hub for all of your data. FullEnrich: → Uses a waterfall approach to help you find email and phone data. FullEnrich + Clay = perfect combo! MillionVerifier: → Deep email verification to make sure you have high deliverability. 4️⃣ Sales Engagement: lemlist: → Personalization at scale (isn’t that what any prospect wants?) - combine email, LinkedIn, and even phone touchpoints in one cadence. Instantly.ai: → Connect multiple email accounts and automate warm-up to ease your process and maximize deliverability. HeyReach.io: → Automates LinkedIn activities without looking spammy - keeps your outreach compliant and effective. 🧠 These tools cover all the bases from prospecting to engagement while keeping your data clean and your deliverability high. If you’re looking to build a B2B outbound engine, this setup will help you 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 and save you from 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. What other tools are you using to power your outbound? Drop your favorites in the comments .. or just tell me how you’re secretly using an Excel sheet and 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘁 of caffeine ☕️ Follow Jan Rasmussen Mitjana for more on GTM tips

This 1 sales tool has made generating leads a breeze for my 7-fig outbound agency. I’m talking about Claygent, let’s break down: It’s an AI-powered web scraper & my team and I use it everyday for:  - Web scraping  - Prospecting  - Market research The biggest thing I use it for is scraping websites & pulling contact data directly from them. For example: let’s say we wanted to scrape leads with open job postings for lead-generation providers. We sell lead-generation & so a job posting is a clear indicator that they could use some help. Before Claygent we’d need to:  - Use a non-AI tool like Apify to scrape leads with job postings  - Then use a web browsing AI tool like ChatGPT to search for specific info about each lead It gets messy & falls apart quickly. Whereas with Claygent:  We’d scrape a list of companies with job postings & we’d input a prompt like this into Claygent: “These companies have active job posting, go and find pertinent information about them like: Technical requirements Years of experience Key responsibilities Return this information in a bullet-pointed list”. Claygent then returns back with high quality information about the leads. Which makes it easy to load those leads into a new personalized cold email campaign. Bottomline is that Claygent has a bunch of nifty use-cases like this. Ones that saves my team & I 10+ hours per week having to use less-technical web scraping tools. Outbound tech is evolving quickly & will only get more sophisticated in 2025. My best advice is to stay on top of emerging tools like Claygent & use them in your workflow. You’ll stay ahead of competition. You’ll be equipped with the latest tools. You’ll have everything you need to overcome new lead-gen problems as they arrive. There’s zero downside in keeping your cold outreach tech stack up to date.

I send 2M+ cold emails and 1M+ LinkedIn DMs per month for 1,000+ active clients across Leadbird and Cleverly

The easiest way to find prospects that get the least cold emails and send to their verified addresses: Way too many outbound marketers literally delete goldmines of high-quality prospects every time they run a lead list. They scrape lists, verify them, and load them into their sender. This is wrong. It's missing an extra step that can put meetings with your perfect-fit clients on your calendar. The mistake these people are making is not verifying and then sending to catch-all emails. Because everyone does what I just mentioned, way less senders actually send to catch-all emails. That means, at least in terms of valid catch-alls, there are lists of prospects that get little-to-no cold emails at all. Below is a look at real reply rates we've got from sending to them. Next time you pull a lead list, remember, the right process is: 1. Scrape 2. Run through MillionVerifier 3. Export catch-alls and run through Scrubby 4. Add valid-catch-alls back into lead list 5. Enter into sender Two more quick tips to help you generate the most replies from this: 1. Always separate them from SMTP Valids. No catch-all validation tool is consistently accurate (changes according to industry and other factors.) 2. Auto pause when above certain bounce % (this goes for any campaign, really). I don't see why someone wouldn't do this.
