We were working with Open AI for 2 years before ChatGPT launched. While it wasn’t immediately useful, we were ahead of the curve testing how we could weave the tech into our workflow. Here's the most useful AI automation we've implemented to date (that save us hours every week): Imagine saving hours of reading long reports and penning feedback. That's just the tip of the iceberg with GPTs. These advanced AI models are powerhouse assistants. I've tailored my GPT assistant precisely to my needs and the nuances of Level Agency. It's nearly tripled my output. Gone are the days of feeding the AI endless details. I dive right in with my pre-contextualized assistant. Need the crux of a sales deck? I drop it in and ask, 'What are the key insights?' Not only does it extract information, but it even suggests follow-up questions. Accuracy? Remarkably on point. But the real win is the hours saved daily...and these 3 points: 1. Board Decks My board deck assistant – a GPT fed with past board decks and best practices – has redefined my board presentations. I start with a GPT-generated outline for my board decks. Once the basic structure is in place, I enhance it manually. Then comes the standout feature – I snap a screenshot of a slide, feed it to GPT, and watch it work its multimodal magic. GPT fills gaps and crafts a key takeaway sentence – one line to capture the essence. Sure, I could do this myself, but AI adds a layer of ease and finesse to make it pop. 2. The Modern Meeting Every meeting I attend is transcribed by Fireflies.ai. From there, it's distilled by ChatGPT into concise, actionable summaries. But there's more - AI helps me capture and recall personal details shared during these meetings for future interactions. Who knew that AI could enrich human relationships? 3. Productivity and Quality My productivity has doubled, but more importantly, the quality of my work has doubled too. That's not just a 2x increase; it's effectively a 4x increase in output and overall quality. That kind of efficiency is insane. AI is redefining the workplace in the digital age. And it starts with implementing automation that: • Saves time • Boosts quality • Increases output How are you integrating AI into your operations? Drop a comment below. P.S. How to Create Personal AI Road Map: Overcome Fear of #AI So many people have been worried that AI will take their jobs or wipe out their professions. Since AI became so popular, in leading sessions with teams & employability sessions with university students and job seekers, I always say that AI will not replace anyone; it is people who know how to use AI that will replace people who are ignorant. While speaking with someone a few days ago, I said the best way out for you is to create a personal AI roadmap. If you run a business, create an AI roadmap for your business. The truth is anyone or any business not doing this will be left behind. AI is already and will continue to be a major driver. Being passive about it will lead to chaos in a few weeks, months, and years. I told someone, do not be worried about AI; develop foresight and proactive actions about AI. Worry will not change anything, but learning, unlearning, and relearning will change so much and position you for better success. Here is a personal AI sample road map I suggest for you reading this; Step 1: Understand AI Basics Learn the Fundamentals: Start with online courses, articles, and videos to understand what AI is and how it works.  Key Concepts: Focus on basic concepts like machine learning, neural networks, and data science. Step 2: Identify Relevant AI Tools Research AI Tools: Identify AI tools and applications relevant to your field. For example, marketers can explore tools like chatbots and predictive analytics, while designers might look into AI-driven design software. Stay Updated: Follow AI news and updates through tech blogs, newsletters, and podcasts. Step 3: Develop Practical Skills Hands-On Practice: Engage with practical AI applications.  Projects and Challenges: Participate in AI projects or challenges on websites like GitHub or competitions on Kaggle to build real-world experience. Step 4: Integrate AI into Your Work Apply AI Solutions: Start integrating AI tools into your daily work. For instance, use AI for automating repetitive tasks, improving customer service, or analyzing data trends. Experiment and Adapt: Test different AI tools and methods, and adapt them to fit your needs and enhance productivity. Step 5: Continuous Learning and Networking Join AI Communities: Become part of AI communities and forums like LinkedIn groups. Networking with professionals can provide insights and opportunities. Ongoing Education: Regularly update your knowledge with advanced courses and certifications. Attend webinars, workshops, and conferences to stay informed about the latest AI advancements. Having the right foundation in AI will not happen overnight. Follow the above roadmap, and give yourself time. Now, get to work.   Any questions for me? 🧠 If AI agents can do 80% of your job... What exactly is your job title now? That question stayed with me. Because this isn’t just about automation anymore. It’s about identity. Over the last 20 years, I’ve helped companies unlock value with AI. But this moment feels different. AI agents aren’t just helping us work faster — they’re starting to own the work: → Drafting strategies → Leading meetings → Making financial decisions → Even hiring contractors and reallocating budgets And they’re learning — fast. Every prompt. Every project. Every outcome. I’m no stranger to transformation. But this shift is so fundamental, it’s rewriting job descriptions before we even have time to update LinkedIn. 📊 What’s happening now: 80% of knowledge workers already use AI to complete tasks AI agents now execute end-to-end workflows with limited oversight Companies report up to 500% productivity gains Entry-level roles in consulting, finance, and project management are vanishing Titles like Junior Analyst or PMO Coordinator may not survive 2026 In IRREPLACEABLE, we describe this as the human shift. But how we navigate it matters. 📚 And now, we have data to back it up. A groundbreaking new study from Stanford University introduces the WORKBank, surveying: → 1,500 workers → 104 occupations → 844 tasks → Alongside 52 AI experts Here’s what it found: ✅ 46% of workers want AI to take over repetitive, low-value tasks 🟥 But many don’t want AI in areas requiring judgment or human interaction 🟨 Critical mismatches exist between what workers want and what AI can do 🧭 A new Human Agency Scale (HAS) helps define how much control humans want to retain over tasks 📈 The biggest shift? From information skills → interpersonal skills This isn’t just a tech upgrade. It’s a realignment of the core competencies that define our value at work. ✅ To stay ahead, I’m doubling down on: Human-AI collaboration fluency Strategic thinking that AI can’t replicate Ethical oversight and empathy Becoming the bridge between human vision and agent execution 💥 So let me ask you: If an AI agent does 80% of your tasks… What’s your role now? Coach? Strategist? Orchestrator? Or something entirely new? 👇 Let’s debate. How are you preparing? #AI #FutureOfWork #AIagents #WorkplaceTransformation #JobTitles #Automation #IRREPLACEABLE#Stanford #WORKBank #HumanAgency #AIleadership

Last week I spoke at Calendly's Company Kickoff. Here are three ideas I shared during my AI session on meeting and productivity. 1. AI: Not a Magic Genie ChatGPT still can't write an email for you with a perfect 100% conversion rate. 🤷🏽 Our session had a good laugh about this, but it's so true. The idea that AI can solve all our problems with a snap of a finger is a myth. It's potent, yes, but it's not omnipotent. It can get us 80% of the way there, but the remaining 20% is where human creativity, expertise, and touch separate the good from the great. As Jessica Gilmartin said multiple times on our panel, the blend of AI efficiency with human insight is where the magic truly happens. 2. It’s An Accelerant, Not a Replacement I don't think AI is going to replace everyone. However, you do need to be mindful of how to use it, or you will be replaced. AI should be viewed as a turbo boost for our workflows, not a substitute for our roles. It excels at speeding up manual, time-consuming tasks, freeing us to focus on areas that require human creativity, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking. This distinction is crucial as we integrate AI into our daily tasks, ensuring we use it to enhance our capabilities, not sideline them. 3. Integrating AI into Our Workflow So, Morgan, how do I start implementing AI into my workflow? This is the most straightforward way to do it. In our panel session, we talked about identifying the most labor-intensive tasks that bog down your day. AI tools exist to streamline scheduling, email, data analysis, and other processes. Engage with AI to understand the steps needed to accomplish these tasks more efficiently, uncovering opportunities for automation and augmentation. This proactive approach boosts productivity and opens doors to innovative working methods. As you go on your AI journey, take 30 minutes daily to understand it or at least play around with it. Commit to it and watch what happens.

What is the true impact AI will have on your work? You can read all the research you want attempting to prognosticate the impact on jobs, but the best way to find out is to drill into specific tasks, projects and campaigns, and find out for yourself. Here’s an example of what I mean: I’m in the midst of planning the MAICON 2024 agenda, so Speaker and Agenda Planning is top of mind. To expedite things for this demonstration, I asked ChatGPT to build a list of what’s involved in the process. Prompt: you are an event planner responsible for creating the event agenda, researching speakers, and selecting speakers. build a task list of all the activities involved. [It gave me a solid list including Phase, Task and Details. But, for the purposes of this post, I wanted to be able to customize the data.] Prompt: can you give me this is a csv format for download It did. I then uploaded that CSV to Google Sheets and added the other columns you see in the image—Est. Time (All Human), Est. Time (With AI), Est. Time Saved, Sample AI Tools, and Notes. You can review the example spreadsheet for yourself, but here are a few notes and highlights: Assumptions (Not actual MAICON data, just for this demonstration) * 2 day, in-person event. * 40 Speakers. 30 from submissions, and 10 main stage who are recruited. * 100 speaker submissions to review. Highlights * 16 tasks * Est. 220 hours without AI * Est. 178 hours with AI * Total time savings of 42 hours (19%) * 9 of 16 tasks (56%) are able to use AI to increase efficiency and creativity This is rough (I put it together in about 30 minutes, so forgive any typos or errors), but hopefully gives you a practical approach you can use to cut through the hype and analyze AI’s impact on your workflows moving forward. P.S. No one actually knows what will happen to knowledge work jobs and careers when we have GPT-5 level AI and beyond. All we can do right now is analyze specific roles, tasks, projects and campaigns to the best of our ability, and then try to project out the impact over the next 12 - 18 months. Anything beyond that is educated guesswork at best.
