They're the ones they tell when they forget they're being interviewed. Last week, my client's post went viral (180k+ impressions, 1800+ likes). The content? A casual story he mentioned during our call about the em dash debate. It pissed him off and he provided some gold. Here's some of my process: 1. Start with the "boring" stuff: Ask about their daily routines, frustrations, random observations. The mundane moments often hide the most relatable content. 2. Follow the passion trail: When their voice changes, their pace quickens, or they start using their hands - that's your cue. They've hit something they care about. 3. Ask the uncomfortable follow-up: "What did that teach you that most people in your industry get wrong?" This is where the real content lives. It happens with all my clients... They going from having 'nothing to say" to "Can we schedule another call? I have loads more stories like that..." If you're a CEO or Executive, you are not boring. As a social media virtual assistant, I’ve managed tons of business pages in the last 2 years. (Yes, I am unapologetically a social media girlie. Don’t ask me what my screen time is. You’ll judge me.)👀 And I keep seeing the same mistake every single time: Pretty designs. Aesthetic feeds. Google tips. That’s it. And I honestly don’t know how to tell you this but in 2025, it’s not enough. That’s why your business isn’t getting leads. You’re blending in. When in fact, you should be doing the exact opposite. The competition is tighter than ever, and if you want to stand out, you have to give people more than something "nice" to look at. You have to give them something to remember. So here are 7 not-so-common content ideas I’d give your business if I was your social media virtual assistant for one week⬇️ 1. A day in the life of your CEO ➜ Show what actually happens behind the scenes. Even the unglamorous parts. 2. “The problem we’re solving this week” post ➜ Share a real business challenge you’re working on and how you’re tackling it. 3. Meet the team. But differently ➜ Highlight a team member with a fun or unexpected fact that makes them relatable. E.g by sharing cute childhood photos accompanied with a fun fact. 4. Before & after story ➜ Show the transformation your product/service creates for a client or project. Share case studies backed with real numbers. 5. The unpopular opinion in your industry ➜ Take a stand on a common belief your competitors won’t challenge. 6. Start a recurring series ➜ Examples: “Client of the Week,” or "Best seller of the week" 7. “How we nearly messed up” post ➜ Be transparent about a mistake and what you learned from it. Bonus(8): What we wouldn’t recommend if you’re planning to achieve [specific result] ➜ Flip the script and share what NOT to do if they want success in your niche. One thing you have to realize is, Your audience isn’t here for just your aesthetic feeds. They’re here for connection, trust, and proof you’re the one to work with. Ans in 2025, if your content doesn’t make people stop, think, or feel… Then it’s invisible. So while hiring good graphic designers, Make sure you hire a social media manager/va that understands your long term goals too. Social media is NOT just about posting. P.S.
