I was speaking with a CI leader yesterday who's been transforming manufacturing operations for 15+ years across multiple Fortune 500 companies. We were discussing the value of communicating wins and he shared something brilliant that he does now, learned from his GE days with their KPO (Kaizen Promotion Office): He said "We don't just report results up the chain. We've created certificates for every completed kaizen - actual plaques the teams could hang in break rooms and common areas." The magic happened during plant tours. Visitors would ask about the certificates, and leadership would step back and let the team members tell their own story. He said the pride in their voices when explaining how they reduced setup time by 65% or cut defects in half... That's how you build a culture that sustains itself. I find it interesting you can't mandate ownership - but you can create conditions where people claim it. In transformation work, recognition isn't about the certificate on the wall. It's about giving people a platform to own their contribution to something bigger. What's your experience with recognition strategies that actually stick? How do you help teams take pride in their continuous improvement wins? #ContinuousImprovement #LeanManufacturing #OperationalExcellence #Leadership #BusinessTransformation

BETTER than trophies and certificates: This recognition? It comes FROM your colleagues! ⭐Peer-to-peer (P2P) recognition programs are often an UNTAPPED well for boosting employee morale, engagement, and appreciation. ⭐ In a previous role, I noticed a LACK of appreciation within the company culture. This was confirmed by exit interview comments. So, I implemented a P2P recognition program using a software called Motivosity (not a sponsored post!). This platform allowed employees to give each other small cash rewards ($1-$5+) for any reason. The impact was REMARKABLE! We saw significant improvements in employee retention and satisfaction scores. One departing employee even highlighted the program as "the best thing to happen" to their division, crediting it with fostering a positive change in culture. Tips for getting started: ⤵ ✅ Choose the right platform ✅ Promote the program ✅ Lead by example ✅ Make it fun and easy ➡ Have you experienced the power of P2P recognition? #HR #HumanResources #EmployeeAppreciation #CompanyCulture #EmployeeEngagement #PeerRecognition

What are your favorite parts of your team meetings? Mine are the DJ of the Week segment we kick off with and "What are you learning?" segment that follows - ideas from Jacob Rivera and Paul Shoberg, respectively. Every week, we start our team call with “DJ of the Week.” The week prior, I solicit for nominations of a team member for doing great work. Their reward? They get to pick a song to kick off our meeting. It’s a fun way to recognize hard work and set a positive tone for the discussion. It’s amazing how something as simple as a song can bring us all together and energize the team, and I love learning more about our team by their choices. Another incredible segment is “What Are You Learning?” It's an open opportunity for our colleagues to share something new they’d learned, whether it was a book recommendation, a podcast, a new tool or experience, or a new resource they may have stumbled upon. These segments have opened up new channels of communication and brought us closer as a team. People who might not have interacted much before were now sharing ideas, resources, and knowledge. It created a space where everyone felt valued and heard, and it fostered a culture of continuous improvement. By creating opportunities for people to share and learn from each other—and by adding a little fun along the way—you can break down silos and transform your team’s culture in ways you never imagined. What small change could you implement today that might have a big impact on your team’s collaboration and culture? #TeamRecognition #CultureOfCollaboration #TeamBuilding #EmployeeEngagement #InclusiveCulture #LeadershipInAction #WorkplaceCulture #EmpowerYourTeam #CelebrateSuccess
