Based on research, trial and error, and talking to other creators, here is how you find success on this platform. The truth? Consistency and range matters more than perfection. If you want to stay discoverable to recruiters, connect with more people, and show up in the algorithm, here’s what I recommend. These are baselines. You can obviously do more. DO ALL THESE • Profile refresh: Every 1 to 2 months Even small changes to your headline, about section, or experience trigger renewed visibility in search and give your profile a fresh feel. This is quite real. Just change a sentence or something small every 1-2 months and set a reminder to do it. Do it every month if you want to be cautious. • Posting or reposting: 1 to 2 times per week Original content, thoughtful reposts, or updates on your work all signal activity. This is one of the best ways to build visibility over time. Just set a regular schedule. You must stay colon blow-levels of regular. • Commenting: 3 to 5 times per week Leave meaningful comments on others’ posts. This boosts your visibility even more than posting, especially when your comments spark conversation. • Connecting with new people: Weekly or monthly Reach out to people you admire, meet through events, or work with. Use the actual job title you’re targeting, not a vague one. For Example: "Program Manager | Healthcare Technology | PMP" ...is better than: “Strategic Healthcare Leader & Problem Solver” 2→Add your target title to your “Open to Work” settings LinkedIn Recruiter allows filtering by open-to-work users. If your settings are private (visible to recruiters only), you're more likely to show up. ↳ Populate location, titles, and other preferences. 3→Use exact keywords in your “About” and “Experience” sections Recruiters use Boolean search: “Program Manager AND Azure AND Migration.” ↳ Include technical skills, tools, and certifications in plain text, not just logos or badges. 4→Add your location even if you're open to remote If a role is tied to a location and your profile doesn’t show one, you might be excluded from search results.
