I used to think that transforming my career required bold moves. The problem: Big, bold moves are risky and intensive. Here's a risk-free way to transform your career in just months. 💡 Consistent -- Small -- Daily -- Habits 💡 • 1 new connection request every day (5 min) • 1 chapter of a book, 1 training module, or instructional video (15 min) • 1 new technology tool to tinker with (20 min) • 1 helpful idea / reflection turned into a short LinkedIn post (20 min) • 3 x 30 push-ups and abs (10 minutes) Fast-forward one year: • 365+ new connections. • 50-100 books and 5-10 new skills. • 300+ new technologies to talk about. • 100k+ people engaging with your ideas. • Strong, healthy body and increased energy. Daily time commitment: 60 minutes. Effort: Low. The 🐢 always beats the 🐇. What is a game-changing daily habit that you put into practice? 𝟭𝟭 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗸𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. This is the exact list I share with my coaching clients this week. 👇 #1  𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. Being early helps us stay calm and collected. I used to love drinking my coffee before the hustle began. #2 𝗘𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Missing meals and breakfast might feel like you are getting more done, but your work quality will be drastically affected if you are not energized and well-fed. #3 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗿𝘆. Sorry means admitting fault. Admitting fault way too often is interpreted as incompetency more than honesty. #4 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Whether you are working from home or going in. Just taking 5 minutes to get ready for the day can change the whole energy of your day. #5 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. You are NOT paid for the lunch hour! STOP working during it. #6 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨. You may not be at your dream job yet, but you are employed, and that is a big blessing, even if you don't realize it. #7 𝗦𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻. A smile will add more value to you than to the other person. It eases you, helps you feel confident, and opens the door to communication. #8 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝟮 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀. Only 5-minute breaks can refresh you and increase productivity for the next task. Please take small but frequent breaks. #9 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Just like you get to work on time, you must make it a habit to leave work on time. Set a non-negotiable boundary and never break it. #10 𝗚𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆. It's the best form of active rest. Even if it's a 5-minute breather. Make sure you get fresh air during each workday. This will open up your mind and help you be more creative throughout the day. #11 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆. Just one hour of no meetings can help you make epic progress on your projects. These habits will help you feel more confident at work every single day. Habits can make you or break you. Let them transform you to great heights through this framework. Ever wonder why some habits stick while others don’t? It’s not about willpower. It’s about understanding the science. We are creatures of habit. Our daily routines shape our lives, for better or worse. I have taught the science of the mind, habits, and peak performance at Babson College, AFS Intercultural Programs, United Nations, University of Southern California, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, etc. Let me tell you the truth behind habits, and success. 1. Cue, Routine, Reward Every habit starts with a cue, followed by a routine, and ends with a reward. For Ex: if stress (cue) makes you reach for junk food (routine), replace it with a healthier routine like a quick walk and reward yourself with a small treat. 2. Start Small Big changes overwhelm. Small, consistent actions lead to lasting habits. Want to exercise more? Start with just 5 minutes a day. Remember, the journey of 1000 miles begins with a 1 step. 3. Make It Easy Remove barriers that make habits hard to stick to. Lay out your workout clothes the night before. Prep your meals ahead of time. Simplify the steps needed to accomplish your goal. 4. Reward Yourself Celebrate small wins. Finished a workout? Treat yourself to something enjoyable. Positive reinforcement creates a mental association that makes you want to repeat the behavior. 5. Be Patient Habits take time. They say it takes 21 days, but real change can take months. Stay committed. Consistency is key. 6. Accountability Share your goals with someone you trust. Accountability partners can provide support and encouragement. 7. Track Your Progress Keep a journal or use an app to track your progress. Seeing how far you’ve come can be incredibly motivating. It helps you understand what works and what doesn’t. 8. Visualize Your Success Spend a few minutes each day visualizing your success. Visualization creates a powerful mental image that can drive your actions. 9. Adjust and Adapt Life happens. Be flexible. If something isn’t working, adjust your approach. Adapt your habits to fit your current lifestyle. Without losing sight of your ultimate goal. Activity for you now: A) Take a moment. Think of one habit you want to build or break. B) Write it down. Break it into small steps. C) Remove obstacles. Celebrate progress. Stay accountable. D) Track your journey. Visualize success. E) Adjust as needed. Reflect and refine. The secret to success lies in your daily habits. Act now. Not tomorrow. Start today. #Habits #Success #growth #focus #talent #PersonalGrowth #SelfImprovement #SuccessMindset #DailyHabits #TakeAction #Commitment #Transformation #ScienceOfHabits #ActNow

I used to think that motivation was the key to a successful career. Long story short, it's not. It's the spark, but what you need is the fuel. You need the daily grind, the hustle, and the sacrifices you're willing to make. -letting go of the need to control everything -kicking perfectionism to the curb -stepping out into the unknown -ditching the safe path -embracing failure It's about growth, discipline, and consistency. I’m preaching this because it's at the heart of everything I stand for. It's about making small, consistent moves that grow you into that new role, promotion, or business. Here's my playbook:  1. 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀: Start with something so simple you can't say no.  2. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲: Write 3 things you're thankful for before bed.  3. 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁: Look in the mirror every day. What worked? What didn’t?  4. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀: embrace self-discovery to keep your mind sharp.  5. 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲: Sleep, water, breaks-that’s your foundation.  6. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲: Surround yourself with allies.  7. 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻. Setbacks are stepping stones.  8. 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆. Trust the process.  9. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗻: Every step deserves a shout-out. 10. 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: be as kind to yourself as you are tough. Remember Changing your life, your career, is not about one giant leap. It's about the courage to take those small, disciplined steps daily. That's the fuel to get anything you want.

Balancing Professional Success & Well-Being: My Five Post-Work Rituals - What's Yours? :D Following a reflective weekend, I have distilled my thoughts: In the pursuit of a successful career, striking a balance between professional achievements & personal well-being is crucial. The ensuing five practices or rituals not only enhance my professional growth but also foster my overall well-being. What’s yours? .1. Reflect and Review: Taking a moment at the end of each workday to reflect on my accomplishments & challenges. Consider what went well, what could be improved, and what lessons I have learned. This practice helps me appreciate my achievements & also sets the stage for continuous improvement. .2. Set Goals for Tomorrow: Before wrapping up for the day, outlining my priorities & set clear goals for following day. This helps me start the next workday with a clear focus & a sense of purpose. Prioritizing tasks in advance helps me increase productivity & efficiency. .3. Invest in Learning & Development: Dedicate time after work to invest in my personal & professional growth. This involves reading industry-related articles, taking online courses, or acquiring new skills that align with my career goals. Continuous learning is essential for me to stay competitive & advancing in career. .4. Maintain a Healthy Work-Life Balance: Establish boundaries between my work and personal life. Engaging in activities that help me relax and recharge, whether it's spending quality time with family or simply unwinding with a good book. A balanced lifestyle helps contribute to my overall well-being & sustained career success. .5. Networking & Relationship Building: Cultivating & nurturing professional relationships. Attending industry events, connecting with colleagues on professional networking platforms, and participating in relevant forums. Building a strong network provides valuable insights & contributes to long-term career success. In my opinion & experience – by embracing these practices, we can pave the way for a fulfilling and sustainable journey, where success is not just measured by professional milestones but is deeply intertwined with our overall well-being. Your thoughts on these transformative rituals will be invaluable. How has your experience shaped your approach, and do you have additional insights that have proven impactful in your quest for professional success and holistic well-being?

Like many people, I often feel ₒᵥₑᵣwₕₑₗₘₑd and ₛcaₜₜₑᵣₑd some days, constantly bouncing between work tasks, errands, family needs, and more. The demands of daily life can seem endless. However, I’ve learned firsthand the incredible power of building consistent routines. Implementing simple daily and weekly routines has been a game-changer for reducing my stress, boosting my productivity, and helping me feel more in control. Waking up at the same time (I am an 🌅 riser), following an exercise routine, setting clear work hours, and scheduling family time as well as time for my personal development are examples of small habits that have kept my life anchored even through difficult times. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬: ✔️ Helps conserve mental energy ✔️ Fulfills psychological needs for order and self-discipline ✔️ Improves health ✔️ Enhances work performance 👷 𝑅𝑜𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑐𝑡 𝑎𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑜𝑟𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑔𝑜𝑎𝑙𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑤𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑏𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔.👷 If you feel like your life lacks routine, I encourage you to pick 1-2 areas to start establishing regular habits. Start small, and build up. Maybe set a consistent bedtime and morning wake-up time. Or schedule a 30 minute walk 3 days a week. Meal prep on Sundays. Or read for 15 minutes before bed. Trust me, the effort pays off. Routines quickly turn new behaviors into automatic habits. And when the fundamentals like sleep, nutrition and exercise become ingrained, you’ll gain mental clarity, reduced anxiety, and lasting positive improvements. Don’t underestimate the power of implementing simple yet consistent routines. They provide the bedrock for living your best life. #productivity #bestlife #leadershipstrategy https://lnkd.in/gRV2EhQj
