There is a lot of Presidents Club advice out there. So, I thought I'd reshare some of mine now that we're going into month 2 of 2025. For context, sales have been my life for the past 15yrs: SDR > AE > MGR > DIR > VP > CRO > CEO So here are the six steps I believe you should take: 1. Focus: Nail the ICP, don't be the rep who "experiments." - No matter how good you are, you won't consistently close deals that aren't good fits; follow the data and only call proven fits. Consistency is KEY to hitting quota and making club. Top performers know their zone and are incredibly intentional with where they spend their time. 2. Customize: Customization is key. - Well-researched cold-openers over the phone and LinkedIn DM's would be my focus. 100% of the time. Email automation wouldn't be. Top sellers are GREAT at writing; invest in this skill, not just the phones. 3. Copy: Copy what is working for other top performers. - Copy the way they talk, the questions they ask, the way they work deals, copy it all. Top reps are quick to copy what is working right now! They are constantly pursuing new things to copy that are working. They will rarely be the "first to try it out" but the "first to copy what someone else figured out." This lets them stay in the pocket, the zone of consistency, while staying on edge. 4. Sweat: Nothing replaces willingness to grind. - Both on the job and in the gym. A fit body is required for a fit mind; this is needed if you push yourself hard enough to make the club. Talented, hard-working people often have significant mental health needs due to the tax on their nervous system. Endorphins from exercise help to balance the stress, keep the serotonin flowing, and keep revenue growing! Top performers in all fields prioritize working out without exception. 5. Rest: Top performers rest and recover like athletes. - You can't be in attack mode 24/7. Weekends are needed when you are all in, all week. Most days are INTENSE, which is precisely why some days aren't. Some days, you must listen to the body and shut it down! Top performers know what go-mode feels like, they know how to push through funk days, and they know the difference between being hurt and being injured. 6. Perspective: Marathoners know the pain won't last forever. - It's only 26.2 miles. Set a plan and follow it relentlessly. The human body and mind are powerful when given structured goals. These runners look like they can go forever. Inside, they are hurting, pushing, remembering why, and using time-boxed goals to keep going to the finish! It's all intentional! How I transformed from a $10/hr Customer Service rep into a President's Club sales pro in less than 60 minutes per day 1/ 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 I devoured every sales book I could find during my first year in sales. Why? Knowledge is power, and I was determined to build mine. This solved my biggest problem: lack of sales knowledge. You can do the same—grab a sales book today and commit to extracting at least 5% of actionable insights. 2/ 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 I came in earlier, stayed later, and focused on quality connects. Why? Hard work was the one thing I could control. It leveled the playing field against more experienced reps. To apply this: Dedicate extra hours and focus on high-value activities. 3/ 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 Every day, I tracked my dials, conversions, proposals sent, etc. Why? Data doesn't lie, and it showed me where to improve. This solved the issue of working hard but not always smart. Start manually tracking your key metrics daily and watch your performance improve. 4/ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗧𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 I sought advice constantly and implemented it without hesitation. Why? Continuous improvement requires constant learning and forward action. This helped me avoid getting stuck in a rut. Be open to feedback, try new approaches, and never assume you know it all. 𝗧𝗟;𝗗𝗥: It takes dedication and relentless learning to transform yourself into a top sales performer. But by reading, outworking others, tracking your results, and staying coachable... That's how I built expertise, resilience, and ultimately, success and you can too.

It leads to: - Burnout - Wasted time - Missed follow ups - Lost opportunities - An unprofessional reputation But you can stay ahead. 5 Strategies to Master Organization 1️⃣ 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 Back-to-back meetings lead to burnout and make it difficult to retain key details. Block off time before and after each meeting to prepare, organize your post-call notes, and reset before moving on to the next task. 2️⃣ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐓𝐨-𝐃𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 Before logging off, outline what you want to accomplish the next day. For example, jot down the five companies you plan to prospect. This helps you conserve mental energy in the morning and start the day with clarity. 3️⃣ 𝐄𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 & 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐭 Your brain thrives on structure. Set consistent start times, lunch breaks, and log-off hours to create a rhythm that keeps you productive without burning out. 4️⃣ 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐛𝐨𝐱 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐓𝐨-𝐃𝐨 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭 Move emails to folders or delete them when they’re no longer needed, and only keep messages requiring follow-ups or responses in your main inbox. This ensures you don’t miss opportunities and stay on top of time-sensitive tasks. 5️⃣ 𝐒𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 & 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬 Trying to be available 24/7 or saying yes to everything isn’t sustainable. Overcommitting drains your energy and makes it harder to stay on top of your workload.
