AI amplifies human creativity. It's a tool, not a replacement. Photoshop didn't kill photography. Calculators didn't kill math. AI won't kill your ideas - it'll help you execute them faster. "If you're using AI, you're cheating, not creating." This is like saying using a computer instead of a typewriter is cheating. Technology evolves. Smart professionals evolve with it. Using AI strategically isn't cheating - it's leveraging. "AI will destroy more jobs than it creates — period." History disagrees. The internet "destroyed" jobs too. Then created entire industries we couldn't imagine. AI will eliminate tasks, not humans. The difference? Those who adapt will thrive. "Only coders and techies can benefit from AI." Completely false. Writers use AI for research. Designers use it for inspiration. Marketers use it for copy. Entrepreneurs use it for strategy. AI democratizes capabilities - it doesn't gate-keep them. "Using AI means you're replaceable, not resourceful." Backwards thinking. The people who DON'T use AI are the ones becoming replaceable. Those who master AI tools become indispensable. Resourcefulness means using every advantage available. AI doesn't replace humans. It replaces humans who refuse to use AI. Your choice isn't whether AI will change your industry. It already has. I’ve interviewed 115 senior leaders on my Hire Learning podcast about AI and the future of work. Here’s what stood out: - 100% agree: AI isn’t replacing jobs—it’s reshaping them. - 80% say AI is boosting efficiency by automating repetitive tasks. - Nearly 70% believe adaptability and emotional intelligence are now more critical than ever. For years, we have heard how AI will gain singularity and take over the world. But in reality, it will replace research and tactical work, making soft skills and the human touch more important than ever. So what does this mean for workers? 1️. Critical thinking > compliance. AI follows patterns—people who challenge them will stand out. 2️. Creativity > efficiency. AI repackages ideas—it doesn’t create breakthroughs. 3️. Emotional intelligence > automation. AI can mimic empathy—it can’t build trust or lead. As I have read and learned more, I believe there will be short term disruption for many. We are entering what I consider the biggest period of labor dislocation we have seen in generations. By 2030, automation could displace 800 million workers. That’s real. If your value comes from execution alone, you’re at risk. But if you think, create, and lead, you’re more valuable than ever. AI isn’t making us obsolete—it’s forcing us to level up. Ironically, it’s forcing us to be more human.

Stop 👏🏼 Saying 👏🏼 AI 👏🏼 Will 👏🏼 Take 👏🏼 People's 👏🏼 Jobs. It's lazy. It's illogical. It's not thought through. Reasons you should stop saying AI will take people's jobs: - it's low accountability - if a boss lays people off, that's something they did, not something AI did - it's based on a fallacy that tasks = jobs - it forgets the social layer of work (required for most jobs) - it downplays the agency we have as people to design the future of work and the list goes on. The future of work is NOT going to be determined by AI. It's going to be determined by decisions people make. People will decide to eliminate jobs. People will decide to create new jobs. Period.

AI isn't necessary coming for your job. It's coming for your job description. And, the difference matters more than you might think. 🤔 A study from National Bureau of Economic Research explains why some workers will thrive in the age of AI while others, including many "experts", will get humbled. When AI masters expert tasks, something strange happens: wages drop, but jobs multiply. Why? Because suddenly, average people can do what only masters could before. But here's where it gets interesting: When AI takes over grunt work, the opposite happens. Fewer jobs, but the survivors get paid like kings. The market cares less about your feelings, more about scarcity So, what are you supposed to do with this? ➡️ It's not a great strategy to try to out-compute a computer. But you can out-human one. (Is that a phrase? Well, it is one now). Double down on what makes you irreplaceable: leading a room, making judgment calls when the data conflicts, or creating something from nothing. ➡️ Second, audit your role, career or just yourself. List every task you do. If you can write instructions for it, AI will likely automate it. Focus your energy on the messy, ambiguous problems where there's no playbook. That effectively becomes your moat. ➡️ Third, become a learning machine. The half-life of skills is shrinking fast. Master the latest generation of tools first. Not because you love technology, but because market continues to reward those who adapt first. The truth? AI isn't good or bad for jobs. But it does multiply the effect of our very human choices.
