    How AI Can Help with Talent Acquisition and Productivity: I’ve long been a proponent of how new technologies can innovate the way we work. In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) is not just a trend—it's a transformative force that can reshape how companies find and retain talent and how people perform in their roles. According to a study of 31,000 people conducted by Microsoft and LinkedIn, AI helps workers save time (90%), focus on their most important work (85%), be more creative (84%), and enjoy their work more (83%).   I believe that there are many ways in which AI can make a significant and positive impact on how we work. Here are just a few: 1. Enhanced Talent Acquisition: At Lennar, we’ve started incorporating generative AI into our talent acquisition process, helping us find and schedule interviews with prospective candidates. AI-driven tools are revolutionizing the recruitment process. We will receive over 350,000 applications this year and with advanced algorithms, AI can sift through vast pools of resumes and online profiles, identifying the most suitable candidates with precision and speed. 2. Improved Candidate Experience: AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants can provide immediate responses to candidate inquiries, send reminders about interviews, and offer real-time updates on application status. At Lennar, we are working on a conversational AI platform to help both potential candidates and our own associates across the country get answers to questions they may have about our company, including culture, benefits, schedule, dress code and other key topics. The more it’s used, the more it learns, adapts and improves, leading to a better user experience. 3. Increased Productivity: AI excels at handling routine, repetitive tasks that can consume a significant portion of an associate’s day. Tasks such as data entry, scheduling meetings, processing invoices and managing emails can be automated using AI tools, which not only increases efficiency but also reduces the likelihood of human error. As AI continues to evolve, its role in augmenting human capabilities will only expand, leading to workplaces that are both highly efficient and rich in creative potential.     Does this sound familiar? 🤖 AI as your intelligent assistant 🧠 The eclipse of human intelligence 👾 Rogue computing The year was 1968. The movie, 2001: A Space Odyssey Sci-fi writers have an uncanny ability to predict the future long before it happens. I viewed the film in the 70s. As AI advances in real time, a 1960s sci-fi writer's imagination serves as a warning for the dangers of unbridled technology growth. Stanley Kubrick's film defined the future of technology for decades. Sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke and his short story that influenced the movie imagined many of the relevant topics and predictions we care about today. As a workplace futurist, I review the predictions and analysis of scientists, architects, physicians, and neuroscientists, among others, to plot the future. My approach is to look at data and the trends to identify what's next.  As you look to 2024, how will AI affect you, your career and your workplace? 5 predictions: 1. Skillset over role set; skills currency over titles. AI fluency and experience will keep you relevant. Ignoring upskilling and reskilling in your career will result in lower pay and fewer opportunities. If 50% of employees will need reskilling by 2025, according to the World Economic Forum, inquire what types of programs exist while interviewing. 2. AI growth rate is faster than you think. If AI is growing faster than you think, it's important to start where you are and get in the game. Consider this like the lessons of the internet. Pay attention to the trends and start researching potential roles. Use AI for the research. 3. Augmented working: AI as your intelligent assistant. Break down your workflows for the type of work you do. Deconstruct what can be automated and start experimenting with it. Figure out how you can save time on certain tasks now. Volunteer to be on an AI task force for your department. Join a group where you share prompts and prompt strategies for your profession. Imagine AI as your intelligent assistant, aiding professionals in various fields. AI’s augmentation of human intelligence and capabilities in the workplace is set to become a game-changer, increasing productivity and efficiency across industries. 4. Follow AI legislation to protect and maintain your business. Know what is happening. Understand the issues relevant to your profession. When the EU passes their legislation (they now have a draft), it will affect the way you will do business in other countries 5. Multimodal AI will increase your efficiency. A productivity winner. Multimodal AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that can process, understand, and generate multiple forms of data, such as text, images, audio, and video. Start exploring use cases.
