90% of my AI posts are about automation & efficiency. But I recommend AI *personally* all the time for not automation reasons 👀 You can (and IMO, *should*) use AI to augment *meaning*, not just output. Here's a crazy statistic: 2.9% of all Claude chats are *affective* in nature, meaning that they're emotional or feelings-based in nature 👀 Using AI to level up your emotional intelligence, support, and problem-solving is actually 10x more powerful than using it to automate mundane work. My one caveat – be *careful* in how you prompt AI to give you advice, or provide support. Remember that AI is *designed* to support you and be helpful to you ... even if you don't deserve it. That sounds harsh, but if you went to your best friends for advice on how you handled a situation, you *don't* want them to lie to you or sugarcoat it. You want the truth. (and if you don't want the truth that's okay, maybe you do just need support – but remember that long-term only the truth will set you free). For example, there's a big difference in taking screenshots of a charged text conversation with a friend and the following two prompts: 1. "Is this person being combative and immature in this conversation?" 2. "Analyze the following conversation between two individuals and create an assessment of the maturity + conflict levels of both sides, and opportunities for improvement for both parties, if any" I used the second prompt recently on a combative text exchange I had with a friend. And while I felt supported in feeling that I was on the receiving end of some immature communication, I *also* got some pretty good advice on when I was also responding in childish ways that weren't helping the situation. Remember to always create the space & opportunity for neutral analysis, and I promise you'll see incredible changes in both your personal and professional life ❤️

Feeling overwhelmed by all the AI hype? Not sure where to start? Jeffrey Bussgang has some sage advice: treat AI like your own personal business therapist. Yep, you read that right. Spill your guts to the AI. Tell it about your: → Struggles → Pain points → Keep-you-up-at-night conundrums Give it all the details and see what insights it can uncover. The key is to start small and specific. Let's say you're knee-deep in customer discovery and drowning in interview notes. Toss those notes to your AI therapist and ask it to: → Synthesize the insights → Spot the patterns and trends → Recommend 3 must-have features to address the issues Boom, you've got a solid starting point to inform your product roadmap. But don't stop there. Keep the conversation going. → Bounce ideas off your AI co-pilot. → Ask for feedback. → Iterate and refine. The more you engage with AI, the more it starts to feel like a trusted thought partner. So don't be afraid to open up and get vulnerable with your AI therapist. Give it a front-row seat to your founder struggles and let it help you navigate the twists and turns. Who knows? You just might uncover your next big breakthrough. — What's one problem in your startup that you'd love to get an AI's perspective on? Interesting chat between Brad Stone, Emily Chang, Mustafa Suleyman, and Reid Hoffman about Pi - your personal AI - by Inflection AI: “I think this is unquestionably going to be the most radical transformation of our lifetimes. I mean, there are going to be AIs for all sorts of things, for businesses, for brands, for digital influencers. Our belief is that everyone is also going to have a personal AI, one that is aligned to your interests, on your team, in your corner, gets to know you, and really forms a trusted relationship with you over time.” - Mustafa “For example, one of the things I just found out yesterday is one of our team members at Greylock is using Pi for parenting advice.” - Reid “We've deliberately designed it to be patient, curious, kind. One of the things that first struck us a year and a half ago when we started working on this is what makes for great conversation. When do you feel that sense of flow and that sense of energy and connection with another person. I think most of the time it's when you feel heard and understood. You've received a little bit of affirmation, but it's not completely sycophantic. It doesn't just agree with you at every moment. It can be a little bit challenging. It has boundaries, so you can push it on certain topics, and it'll take a position, and that's really healthy, but also, it's just curious. I think many people are excited by the idea, especially the users that we have, of someone asking them lots of questions about the topic that they're interested in. We don't always have someone in our lives who is as knowledgeable and as passionate about our favorite topics as we might like. That's where Pi comes in because it's super knowledgeable and engaging.” - Mustafa https://lnkd.in/gEJAYzXa #llm #largelanguagemodels #AI
