Traditional AI models struggle to replicate the complex, intuitive decision-making processes inherent to human cognition, resulting in a gap between human-machine interactions and real-world applications. This research will address the challenge of enhancing AGI with human-like intuitive abilities by exploring the integration of biomimicry principles, particularly those observed in group intelligence, including gut microbiota's influence on cognitive processes and the vagus nerve's role in the autonomic nervous system.     Future AI scenarios and how can we prepare for them? Last week I was in D.C. attending an invite-only dinner organized by Brands2Life with the participation of Teddy Collins from White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. We discussed many topics such as AI safety and security, AI regulations, benefits of AI to the society overall, energy and climate concerns, and the list goes on. On the other hand, what would a good path be to foster safe and competitive development of AI systems in US, and maintain lead on AI innovation in the world. This is where I think a simple mental model would be useful to draw, which I am attaching to this post. Some of these scenarios can possibly (and most likely) overlap. "Doom" scenario: * AI replaces significant portion of jobs resulting in job losses for majority of population * Nation states escalate AI race for offensive purposes * Public unrest and discontent * AI power is concentrated within a very small number of big players in the world Sci-Fi scenario: * Self-guided personal robots/companions * Immersive AR/VR - establishes itself as a norm for social communication * AI powered bio implants "Realistic" scenario: * AI tools are used across industries - code, content, analytics, search, etc. * Personalized interfaces - education, entertainment, marketing * No significant job losses, and a steady skill acquisition towards AI powered productivity "Over-regulated" scenario: * Regulations stifle the open source development * Large AI developers capture the market, but slow down the innovation * Enterprises see limited benefits, consumer products fall short "Simply hype" scenario: * AI core issues are not resolved - hallucinations, security, trust and privacy challenges * Revenue from AI products plateaus, funded companies close down * Majority of enterprises push AI down as a secondary priority Which scenario (or combination of) do you think is most likely to unfold? #AI #AISecurity #AIInnovation #ArtificialIntelligence
