We were excited to bring together leaders from American Express’ U.S. Consumer Services organization and a thoughtfully selected group of early-stage startups at the Centurion New York lounge. It’s energizing to connect the American Express network with the innovation arising from the startup community. Our conversations explored how emerging technologies have the potential to create new ways to serve American Express Card Members, enhance digital experiences, and drive value across the consumer ecosystem. At Amex Ventures, we’re focused on building bridges between startups and American Express teams working on the future of consumer services and experiences. If you’re building in this space, we’d be glad to connect.

One of the highlights of this year’s Money20/20? An incredible dinner Amex Ventures co-hosted with Bessemer Venture Partners and Lithic. We gathered founders and executives shaping the future of AI, fintech, and commerce. Over Korean barbeque, we recapped the week’s themes, from how AI is reshaping the finance tech stack to how new infrastructure is unlocking the next wave of innovation. Huge thanks to our partners and the group who made the evening special. Until next time, Money20/20!

We were excited to support and connect with the founder community by partnering with Primary Venture Partners for their NYC Summit founders’ dinner.
The NYC Summit starts before our first speaker takes the stage. One of the most special parts of the NYC Summit is our founders' dinner the night before—a chance to bring builders from across industries together for conversation and connection the night before the main event. Each year, we’re proud to welcome the founder community into this tradition that sets the tone for Summit. Thank you to our partners— Amex Ventures, AlleyCorp, Braze, Foley, Latham & Watkins, Mercury, People Function, Rooled, Stifel Financial Corp., Upstarts Media, and Vintage Legal—for making this gathering possible.

I’m looking forward to exploring more opportunities to collaborate with innovative teams in this space. If you are building here, let’s chat. #TeamAmex

One of the best roles I get to play at Amex Ventures is partnering with #TeamAmex to help connect American Express to the founder community. Last week, we brought together category leading founders at Centurion New York to hear from leaders across our Enterprise Technology Services organization. From an open Q&A with Hilary Packer to lunch with leaders across infrastructure (Matthew Liste), security (Gleb Reznik) and enterprise architecture (Shoma Chakravarty) and more – we had a packed 🏡 (lounge). We discussed our AI strategy at Amex, reinforcing our position as a tech-first company while staying true to our brand pillars of trust and security. If you’re building in this space and can help us push ahead, we (Rebecca Li, Lauren Weston, Yuhang Zhang) would love to connect!
