When we started Rinse, my co-founder James and I often remarked that the industry is one of the last to be disrupted by technology. Laundry and dry cleaning is something everyone needs but nobody really thinks about. Yet, as we dug deeper, we realized how much this “mundane” service impacts people’s daily lives. The time spent worrying about getting clothes cleaned properly, coordinating drop-offs and pickups, or just squeezing laundry into an already packed schedule is a real problem to have.

I’m thrilled to share a milestone that reflects that understanding. Rinse has officially launched in Toronto, marking our first international expansion. Launching in Toronto marks a major milestone for Rinse as we expand beyond the U.S. for the first time. We see strong demand in the city for reliable, tech-enabled services that make everyday life easier, and we’re excited to streamline laundry and dry cleaning for Toronto.

Toronto is a dynamic city full of ambitious professionals, creatives, and families.  We see a clear need for a service that gives time back and blends seamlessly into their routines. With just a few taps on the Rinse app, Torontonians can now schedule door-to-door service for laundry, dry cleaning, and more, seven days a week. Our goal is simple: make one of life’s more important chores confidently invisible.

From the beginning, Rinse has never aimed to be “standard.” We have focused on using technology to simplify lives while still providing the care and attention every garment deserves. Our growth reflects both the demand for convenience and the trust customers place in us. Expanding to Toronto is proof that our approach works and that people everywhere are looking for a better way to manage everyday chores.

What I’m most proud of, though, is how our team meets challenges. Transforming an outdated industry with a tech-forward approach takes persistence, curiosity, and a willingness to question long-standing norms. Every new process, every improvement in our app, and every interaction with our customers contribute to making Rinse possible.

Over the past 12 years, we have worked hard to lead this category toward a more modern, seamless, and coveted version of itself. We’re excited for what’s ahead, powered by a mission to create the ultimate convenience for busy lives.
